You can never have user reviews for anything because of things like this. User reviews rarely work out. Metacritic needs, to narrow down the selection of sites they use, and they need to be consistent. You can't say you use reviews when you see them posted on a site, because Resistance 2 wouldn't only have 35 reviews while Gears has 53.

I'm sure the game will be at least 10 to 12 hours long. I think there only saying this because most people expect open world games to be 20 to 40 hours long.

You have to remember Rsistance 2 is in a genre that everyone wants to be in, I mean even Japanese developers are starting to make shooters. I agree Resistance should have rated higher, but it's too late now (at least an A-).

This need to happen to more PSP games. The PSP is a good system it's just that there's something wrong with and I can't quite put my finger on it. It has great graphics for a handheld, a nice selection of good games, but there's just something about it that makes me not play it or buy games for it like I should. I think if the games were stored on the Memory Stick I would play them more, I hate having to carry all those mini disc around. I guess I'll start playing my PSP more.
I'm telling you download the trailer. The gameplay looks a lot better than you think. I don't know if it'll be as good as Uncharted, but it looks promising.

This game is off the F@&$in chain. The game looks great all around, but this game does more and looks better than most shooters and this is only the multiplayer. The 3 or 4 years that went into making Killzone 2 really shows, as the game runs very smooth, and will definitely be one of the games to get in 09'.
Well I would assume he's defending the PS3 and it's games from people like you. If someone asked you what do you think of the PS3 in all honesty what would you say?

The thing I don't get about most of the people on n4g is that their quick to call someone a fanboy when in fact when their console is in the lime light their quick to put down other the systems. I admit I like the PS3 better than the 360, does that make me a fanboy "NO".

Whoever wrote this needs to obe shot for such sheer stupidity, the Wii has better games than the PS3 only in Wii Land.
Overall both games are equal because the other has what the other is missing. Gears has the very next gen look and Resistance does look good for the amount of things they stuffed on the Blu Ray disc, but Gears looks better. Gears also has a great campaign, and Resistance 2's campaign is the weakest of it's selling points (however the campaign is still very enjoyable, but I expected more). Resistance 2 has the online on lock. Probably one of the best online experiences I've had this gen. ...
If the first one sold over 5 mil. copies then everyone should have expected this one to do similar. Gears 2 is a very good game, so it deserves it's success.
THe thing I don't like about Kotaku is every time they always have so negative to say about the PS3. It's fine being pro 360, but even when they say they love the enemies from Resistance they come back with comments such as "just on shamelessly ripped from movies".
I was just going to say the same thing. I never hear anyone on this site complain about the 360 getting exclusive content, all I hear is the the 360 version is the way to go if you want the full game. But now that the PS3 version is getting exclusive content it's not fair.
Well the lighting and the environments look good, but the character models look like a$$. It's like their ripped from the PS1.
The graphics are amazing, the gameplay looks very very solid. But let's hope they change some of the voice acting. I know shooters aren't known for their voice overs, but some of the characters and their quotes are laughable.
Come on Killzone don't give reviewers any reason to mark that beautiful 10/10 down.
