Irrelevent to me. If it hasn't happened, it aint news. And when it comes to games, I buy them based upon reviews from real game players.
I keep seeing people claim it is the software companies fault for not taking the Wii demographic serious enough as the reason why the "hardcore" games are not being made for it.
The reality is that Wii has already made it's bed & has to lie in it. You buy a Wii for Wii games, and that is what you are going to get with a Wii. That is all it is ever going to do. And why should Nintendo care otherwise? They made a killing off of the family market so far.

I didn't feel like it was a failure when playing it. But I really liked the first one better. R1 over R2, hands down.
Sorry, too busy playing Uncharted 2 to care.
The sum of all aspects in a video game added up togther is what makes the difference between a great game or lame game. As long as other aspects of the game are great, the graphics don't have to be. But no one likes poor graphics these days. There is no reason for that with today's hardware, so it just looks like a half-assed game if the graphics are on the poorer end of the scale.
Nintendo created the image of just a childrens toy with the Wii in consumer's minds with the game catalog built up from initial launch. People are in denial if they think MA games are going to sell in large quantities for a device that has crafted its image as being a kid's toy. The MA game players are already on 360 & PS3 boxes. Wii is too late to the party.
yeah, DVD is about 13-14 year old technology. That was about how long VHS lasted until it was phased out by DVD. Just like when I saw a movie on VHS after getting used to DVD, movies on DVD look kinda blurry to me now after being used to blu ray.
Bought it, but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Glad to see it is so well received with positive comments. Gonna have to wait until the weekend to play it, but it sounds like it wasn't a waste of my money from what everyone is saying.
I am not a player in the console fanboy wars. Even though I am a PS3 owner, I would like to see Xbox have a blu ray drive in them for no extra cost. I am a fan of good technology, and would like to see 15 year old DVD technology make way for Blu Rays on the store shelves. I bet the retailers would love to stock from one catalog, and not have to stock both DVD & blu ray versions of the same movies. Let's get that old technology out of the system, and get up to speed.

I agree with your perspective. I used to be a PC gamer for years, and I do not see the PS3 as anything different. Plan ahead & get a bigger harddrive than you think you need. Then start filling it up. It is actually easier to replace a harddrive on the PS3 than on a PC, because of the very simple to follow backup & restore program. And just like with a PC, it is always good to have another external drive to use for backing up.
of course people always click disagree just to disagree on this board, but what is not old & tired about an optical drive technology that came out in 1995? I would expect to say the same thing about Blu Ray in another 12-15 years, because technology always moves forward. There will be a replacement for that, and then a replacement for the next thing, and so on, and so on...
Look at history. VHS tape for video lasted about 15 years before being slowly replaced by DVD. DVD h...
lol, while they're at it, maybe they should go back to 16 bit graphics too. DVD is old & tired, and dying a slow death.
Oddworld? OMG I am so there. That was one of my all time favorite PS1 games. One of the most clever platforming games of all time.
meth addiction cause people to do strange things.
That's a fat install, but PS3 owners should not trip on this if they have an older model. These boxes are designed for the home user to be able to easily upgrade the harddrive. I have two PS3's with 320 gig drives in them.
Get a laptop SATA drive for the upgrade. Get another storage drive to back up your data. Follow the instructions in the owners manual for backing up, replacing harddrive, & restoring data. Super easy.
zlatko - after reading the article, the developer stated they throughly tested this in their test environment, but unfortunately found an issue that could not be reproduced in their test lab.
You really think they are not doing their jobs? Almost every piece of complicated software needs updates after being released. Labs constantly need to be updated to match the real world, but usually this is not known to be needed until after a real world problem is uncovered. It is the na...
Projekt7tuning - I'll disagree with you...but I am not standing on a soapbox trying to speak for all gamers. I will speak to my own personal opinion.
I usually play games solo when I get a break from work & other responcibilities. I like to chill in front of my TV on the couch, and it is my way of relaxing & a stress release. I think it would be absolutely silly for me to be jumping around, acting out the game solo in front of my TV. I would only play this type of game ...
Natal is also going to cure disease, end world hunger, and make all nations stop fighting and peacefully live together.
j/k, but this thing is getting way overhyped before it is out. Overhype in the video game world is commonplace, and I have to look at all of this with a grain of salt. IMO motion control is a niche area of video gaming, and many gamers are split on the opinion of whether motion control is an enhancement, or just useless extra effort to play a game.
Boring is a word that never came up in any of the good reviews for some of those games. I have played half of those, and they are certainly not boring. Perhaps you have ADD, and get bored too easily.
whoa wait a second...
the author seems a little out of touch. The PS3 is 299, so is it really "still too expensive"? And it is an old wives tale these days that PS3 does not have good game selection. And why would cost of games be a 'con' against that PS3, and not the same for 360, when they cost the same?
pro/con list is a FAIL on this article.
