It is the FCC that governs what is allowed on broadcast TV & radio in America. And there are ratings boards that rate movies & games.
It is not correct to call these groups "America" when people say American's are prudish about sex. These are very small, but powerful groups of individuals. For most people movies will always be most immersive, and games trailing far behind, unless you are talking about animated movies.
Movies with real people acting out a very interesting story, edited & directed to perfection, & filmed perfectly will make the watcher forget he is a watcher, and get totally lost in the story.

Funny article. I don't remember specifics, but know there have been a few times in the past where I saved a game a second before a surprise death...only to have to start completely over again realizing there is no way back.

lol, MS spokesman talks to people like they are techno-noobs. I have been working with computers & IT for a decade. The brand name 2.5" SATA drives are of good quality, and very inexpensive. I have a 320gig WD drive in my PS3 that I bought for 80 bucks. Because of different art & game styles, sometimes opionion comes into play when comparing what looks like better graphics.
But I say bring on the competition for best graphics. That is a win for us game players.
I'm probably going to buy Borderlands, but it is definately not as well reviewed as Fallout 3, now that I see reviews coming out. From what I have been reading, Borderlands is an ok FPS & ok RPG, but not exceptionally great at either. Fallout 3 is a great RPG with an ok FPS engine - which did win GOTY.
I feel sorry for any other games that I have when this one finally comes out. GT5 looks like it is going to be so massively huge, I may never get around to playing other games again.
Software companies should see the obvious that even us non-experts can easily see...Wii has built it's reputation on the party & kid game demographic. I know many people that have Wii consoles...and all of those people that are hardcore gamers also have a PS3 or Xbox360. They use the Wii for their kids or playing games like golf with adults at parties, and play their 360 or PS3 for solo more hardcore gaming.
Too new to be ranked I suppose, but Brutal Legend is another new one with great, unique art style.
I know many PS3 owners were annoyed by not getting DLC. I myself would have bought DLC for GTA4 if available for the PS3, but the reality is after a very short period of time, I move on to whatever the next cool game is & forget about the old ones. I wouldn;t even be interested in DLC for this game now, because it is in the "old" pile of games I have.
