There are a bunch of kids that feel the need for exclusives so they have ammunition to talk pointless smack on game site blogs.
The only thing that hurts the industry is when they make games people don't want to buy. I think sometimes game makers forget why some of the older games were so popular...it wasn;t alway becuase they were innovative, but more so because they were fun & very addictive.
Even if you are making an all new groundbreaking style of game with the greatest graphics ever that no one has ever seen the likes of before - if it doesn;t have that basic element of fun & addictive to ...
If you compare Saints Row 2 directly against GTA4, you will notice the quality is not quite as good. It can be a little glitchy, and the driving physics suck. But overall, I thought Saints Row 2 was a very fun game.
After reading that article, one word comes to mind...
FAIL
Games turned into movies, and movies turned into games....
Just say no. 99.9999% of these things suuuuck. Because it is just about making some extra cash on something popular, and will be more corporate half baked formula crap.
lol, out of shape gamers are going to be exhausted playing some of these games.
Maybe it is too much money. But the article has some contradictions. On one hand, he talks about it being too expensive, then complains it does not have more features that would add to cost, like touch screen.
Sure there are people that have not yet upgrade to HDTVs, but as those older TVs are replaced with newer models, eventually everyone will have them. You don't see TVs bigger than a breadbox in the stores without HD capability anymore.
Eventually, HD will be the only format available. If you go to stores like Best Buy, you can see they have phased out LD technology. The DVD section keeps shrinking, making room for the growing Blu Ray section. One employee at a local store said ...
It's almost 2010. It's a bit silly to have add on adaptors for something as basic & common as wireless network interface. They should start buidling it in. It isn't expensive technology anymore.
Because they had released prologue a while ago, it is reasonable for consumers & Sony to start holding them to getting it done soon. People paid for that preview with the expectation the final product would be coming behind that in a reasonable amount of time. This is big business. Eventually people have to draw a line in the sand, and say "this is our target date. We will have the product ready by then".
It may be unlikely that software will damage hardware, but bad software can certainly render hardware unusable, or make the operation of it unstable.
Hey Fishy...I have travelled to other countries, and have not seen that racial stereotypes are worse in America than abroad. I have seen it in every country I have been to, and more overt in many of them that do not have racially/ethnically diverse populations.
Of course I acknoweldge there are racists in the USA. That is an issue we always have to keep working on. But if anyone is using NG4 comments as a way to formulate an opinion of a nation, I strongly suggest one should g...
Interesting that so many people automatically assume the customers bringing a class action suit are just idiots, and the big corporation that is being sued are totally innocent, and couldn't possibly do any wrong.
A class action lawsuit is not about greed. It is about forcing a company to acknowledge their mistakes, and to force them to right any wrongs. Let's let the court decide who is stupid or not in this case. I myself am glad people bring attention to these issues, instea...
Ultimately, it is the consumers that decide if something is too expensive. If you think something is overpriced, don' buy it. If everyone is willing to spend more, then prices will go up.
People said the same thing about automatic transmissions when they came out about 60 years ago. This is the future. Manual transmissions are a thing of the past. Yet many new performance cars still use old fashion manual transmissions.
The main reason I do not think motion control will completely take over handheld controllers for gaming is basic efficiency in movement principles. It requires a lot more energy to move your entire body then just your fingers. Unless you like workin...
I think I could probably play fighting or swordfighting games on Natal for about a half hour or hour max. Then I will be worn out. I know this after playing boxing at a friends house that has a Wii.
It is all cool at first, then I am sweating like a pig, breathing heavy, and saying, "Dude, I'm done. No mas!"
Stick a blu ray drive in that sucker, and bam! Now you have a complete home entertainment system. I for one can't go back to DVD when watching movies on my HDTV.
With automatic firmware updates, it seems like more trouble than it's worth to mod these things. You can't exactly complain to the manufacturer that your modded box broke because of new firmware update if that happens a month after you modded it.
Twitter is one of those cool tech concepts without a real function. Sure, from the tech side it is pretty nifty. But the end result is text messages from nobody you care about to nobody they care about, saying nothing of substance that anybody cares about.
lol at people crying bias about a low score here. C'mon, now. Even without the criticism, the description of this game sounds boring as hell.
