That is a good feature. I wonder if the crash dump logs it sends contains information of what game you were playing. It would be a great red flag system for software makers if they saw real numbers of how often their games crash on the PS3, and perhaps why...yes I am thinking of you guys at Bethseda & your Fallout 3 game, haha.
I would expect some evolutionary processor still based upon the cell for the next console. Perhaps some kind of hybrid as suggested in the article. Sony took an early beating pushing forward this technology, so imho the smart business decision would be to ensure backwards compatability for PS3 games on the PS4, and not having to reinvent the wheel again for the software developers.
However it is implemented I could care friggin less. I bought this thing to play games and watch blu ray movies.
Oh, and as other keep saying...it always had a friggin browser. Now there are multiple interfaces to facebook. Whoopdee do.

They do not have a context or meaning. To me they are about as important as finding 100 pidgeons in GTA4 & shooting them...not at all needed for completing the game, and not something worth spending any of my time on imo. Funny you say this. I remember a lot of games from the past where I would be stuck on sections for hours because they were so hard. We all accepted that as just normal for video games. They didn't have easy, medium, and hardcore settings. Just default, and many games were flat out very difficult in certian sections. And you had to find a way to beat it to move on, even if you had to repeat a section a hundred times. Ah, good times! ;-)

People should keep reminding the media to be honest instead of sensationalist in these kinds of reports. It does s disservice to everyone to not get a better understanding of the real nature of the problems with young people that go haywire.

Someone is having a laugh behind the scenes at getting people to grind away for pointless things like trophies.
Game play is the only thing that matters to me. Once I complete the game, I move on & do not care if I got a single trophy while playing it.

But I kind of like Packie from GTA 4 over Brucie. Dwayne was also realistic as the sad former gangster with regrets. I tried the Playboy X mission in GTA 4 to assasinate Dwayne, but had to go to previous save after doing it. Dwayne was too sympathetic of a character to kill, and I literally felt bad after doing it.
Such a great game because of all the realistic characters.
I'll have to check it out. I think the main thing holding people (like myself) back from buying blu rays as often as I used to buy DVDs is the rip off pricing. Nice little trick they have going to try to get $29.99 as standard retail price instead of the $19.99 we are used to paying for DVD movies. And they wonder why people are hesitant to switch.
I hope they are not in your face with the facebook addition. I hate the last few updates with the store popups under each category, and the scrolling ticker on the main screen. I like a clean interface. The OS update I would like to see would be user customization feature to decide what links show on the XMB.
FPS games have been around for so long now, and all still follow most of the same formula (otherwise it wouldn't be a FPS)
So when I hear people say "best FPS ever" it is like hearing someone say best burger joint ever. Everyone has their favorite, many disagree with which one is best, but ultimately it is pretty much the same menu at every one of those burger joints. It isn't four star dining at any of them either, even if they get an overhyped review.
Different components for differnet products. Don' be trippin' on one should supplant the other, or superiority in different design concepts. PCs have a long established achitecture that can't really be undone without killing the golden goose. Game consoles are not constrained by software backwards compatability, and can take a leap into another architecture.
