Looks fake to me. Mainly because it is even more ambiguous & lame than the PS3 commercials Sony previously admitted to not being very good advertisements. Why would they make even worse ads in that style to build hype for the next console?
Good thing we have "experts" like Patcher explaining the very obvious to everyone. Wii has appealed to the family demographic since day one, and that is how it has been marketed. Thus that is what the game makers develop for that platform. It makes no business sense to try to reverse that course rather than keep milking the family game market for every drop it can squeeze. Game makers are going to invest where they think they can make money, and the next GTA is not going to make any...
The plastic cowbell controller is only $99.99. It only uses one button, so is a little cheaper.
Looking forward to this game...but I seriously hope they fixed the freeze up issues. It was making me crazy that Fallout 3 was my favorite game to play, but yet the most unstable buggy game I ever owned.
lol, looks like a fashion model for Abercrombie & Fitch clothing.
Max was delayed while trying to get in shape and finding a flight to New York where he can start the next chapter.
But to be real trendy cool, you have to have some tribal tattoos to go along with your new X game persona. I see they included that on the new image. Check. Wow, that superhero is almost as cool as Shawn White.
I am going to get a 12 pack of Mountain Dew to drink while I play this game, while wearing my cool new Nike gear... and tribal tattoos. That's what I call rockin' the X games superhero vibe! LOL.
Interesting that this type of game's sales on 360 fits right into the stereotype that the 360 demographic just isn't into these kinds of games. This seems to be the kind of game that 360 fanboys like to bash PS3 owners over for not selling like Halo.
Some people don't understand what whining means.
The author of the article wasn't whining. He was offering an opinion. The comments complaining about the opinion are whining. ;-)
This game is going to be cool.
But I have to roll my eyes when I hear references to "extreme sports stars" as a character model. "Our marketing research shows young people that watch X games also like tribal tatoos. We should add tribal tatoos."
While reinventing the character, they are just creating an even more generic superficial fake character.
New Cole looks like a douche
Nice, now that PS3 is getting Move they can now start porting over all that horrible shovelware Wii garbage.
We want to make him more gritty...like a Tony Hawk wannabe skater kid with Gap clothes from the mall.
LAME
lol, people are disagreeing with you on principle now...because your first comment was just trolling.
LOL, I am guessing that cover is just a mag cover, and nothing at all to do with the actual graphic design of the next game. It's concept art, as others point out.
People that make these statements, do so based on speculative material posted by various unofficial sources. Unless someone is opening up the accounting books, and looking at exact dollar figures, they don't know how much was invested out of pocket and what the profit point is in sales. 70 million sounds like a total BS number.
Monty Python? Isn't that show about 40 years old? Get with the times, lol.
Neither Iphone or Gameboy are consoles. They are handhelds. A game console is a device dedicated only to playing on TV.
Even though I already played HL2 on PC, I bought orange Box for my PS3. I wanted to see this game in HD on my 50" plasma. My experience was better than I expected after reading a lot of harsh opionions. occasional framerate drops, but not really enough issues to affect game play or bother me.
I guess it is more preaching to the choir. Who else would the comment be intened to, becuase it doesn't exactly tell me why I should buy this game. I buy games based upon what I like, not because how many other people bought it.
