Boy this has clickbait written all over it.. so rather than watch this video from a random unknown podcast I'll just say this. You're never going to find a company executive who believes their product is inferior to their competition.. ever. Whether it's Phil, Shuhei, Reggie.. they all believe their product is the best, their lineup is the best, and their future releases will be the best.
The rumors of it being in the southeastern USA was pretty intriguing, get some everglades and south beach in there.. maybe run over a crocodile.
I was tempted to say Project Gotham Racing as a candidate for revival, but Horizon 3 is so similar to it that it really defeats the purpose of bringing it back. So I'm going to say Burnout 3: Takedown. Even if they can't get the rights to carry the name, they can just 'borrow' the core ideas like they did with PGR3 and make it their own.
Hard pass on downloading and installing a game demo for a mere 30 minutes.. imagine the download time would be similar to the time allowed to play the demo. If I ever get the urge to play the game, I'll just redbox or gamefly it as it sounds like it doesn't take particularly long to finish.
In response to the edit: he has no real incentive to do so. They worked on it for some time, and rather than delay it again they chose to accept it for what it was at release. They published it and he's collected his money. Nothing he or his studio does to the game at this point is going to cause a spike in sales. So they really stand to gain nothing. Think the thing that surprised me the most was how solid the graphics were on the XB1 version. I've got a gaming PC I built earlier this year and in general the load times and graphics are markedly faster than XB1. But when I downloaded my cross-play enabled copy of Forza Horizon 3, it was struggling to run at the same quality as xbox. I continue to be floored by the quality and enjoyability.. easily my favorite game on this console!

It really depends if they stick with their focus on RNG rewards and repeating missions. I think they've learned their lesson on having a weak story so I'd definitely expect that to be improved in Destiny 2. Their fanbase is pretty loyal so as long as the handling/gunplay is as solid as it is now I'd expect it to be successful. Just wish they could get away from using Activi$ion as their publisher, that company would shake the pennies out of a dead hobo to boost their bottom lin...

Agree there.. Tommy and the native influence of the first game was genuinely unique in a genre saturated with 'generic angry white man' tropes. I have no doubt that they've corrected the originality of Tommy with yet another middle-aged white male.
Well I can agree with the MMO comparison.. I've played a good bit of Destiny and certainly done my time in several PC MMO's so I'm familiar with each expansion essentially rendering previous content (aka item drops) irrelevant. Nah he made it to the middle.. bottom line is there's plenty to do, but for those that see 'finishing' the game as getting to the center can do it in 30 hours. Those who want to explore, get different ships, etc.. plenty more things to do I'd assume.
Mostly want Trials: Evolution at this point.. they already have Trials HD and Trials: Fusion (and Trials of the Blood Dragon if you count that crap) why not complete the set?

The best thing that Re-core had going for itself was the $40 price point, but that was also a red flag for 'uh oh this game is short and/or not very good'. I'm not sure if I'd even spend $20 on it.. maybe someday I'll gamefly it for some achieveme...
