Microsoft offered to allow their own games appear on other cloud streaming services and we have started to see them pop up on GeForce now which has a wider reach than xcloud. Idk what else Microsoft can do as that move can only serve to grow cloud gaming.
The fact that none of the remedies Microsoft proposed to the CMA worked so far means the reason they gave for the deal being blocked isn't the actual reason the deal was blocked. They had no intention of approving the deal and all of this is just BS. Microsoft should move with the assumption that the decision will not change and put resources into the plan B.
I wonder if Nintendo can bring VR to the mass market.
Was anyone able to replicate this error? I don't see how it is possible for a game to need more than 8 gb vram at 1080p. The Last of us part 1 at maxed out settings on PC used about that much at 1080p.
I don't think it is fair to compare the PS5 to apple prices since an iphone hasn't been at $499 since the original iphone launched.
One thing I can say at your benefit though is that in gaming then longer you wait to buy, the better the deal, though if you wait too long your backlog will get out of control.
This is just a thought but maybe the most valuable thing in the Activision blizzard acquisition isn't the ips itself but the talent that Microsoft needs. Activision has the industry leading IPs in first person shooters and a good chunk of Microsoft games are first person shooters. If Microsoft gets access to that talent it may turn things around and Sony knows this hence the reason they oppose the deal so much. The same can be said about Blizzard and Bathesda in the wrpg genre.

This is an unfortunate consequence of the pressure playstation is under where they have to remain as profitable as possible. Being one of the most profitable parts of Sony, all eyes are on Jim Ryan and his team.
It is easy to understand why they would now prefer to invest in multi million unit sellers and live service games.
Imo Sony doesn't have to reinvent the wheel with game mechanics but observe the community and borrow ideas that work. I also th...
No uncharted :( I had a blast playing the legacy of thieves collection at 120 fps.
Has anyone else actually played Redfall and agree with this positive review? I didn't want to download it because I thought it would have been a waste of my drive space.
Did the majority of the critics get it wrong?
Another BIG L. Not a good time for Xbox at all. They need to aquire talent and do a post mortem to figure out how to bring their studios to a level that can compete in first party titles. Things can't continue like this.
I have a gaming laptop but I am not sure if it will run because I only have 4gb vram and the minimum specs has a gpu with 6gb.
Let's see how it goes.
Not sure if you are serious with that response but Xbox and PC gamers would have been able to play Activision games on gamepass without needing to pay full price. That would have been a huge win for them but now we are back to the status quo. $70 for COD, Diablo and other titles.
Not a good day for Xbox and Xbox gamers. This rejection could have a domino effect on the deal. I was looking forward to playing Activision games on gamepass but it doesn't seem likely.
Perhaps Xbox should try to aquire talent instead of ips from across the industry. This seems to be the main strategy Sony is using and Microsoft needs to follow suite.
The title raised my blood pressure. I won't out and purchased a tv capable of 120 fps because next gen promised higher framerates. Unless there is a night and day difference between performance and quality mode, there is little incentive to use quality mode.
I would like to see the background change to the game picture similar how it works on PS5. The guy named souls ninja in the article has a good background though it might be too similar to Playstation's background
I am 100% sure that it being pulled from the PS5 had nothing to do with the current state of the game. The developers have said during development, the scope of the game changed to something much bigger than what was originally planned. Up until recently, most persons thought Redfall was going to be Left 4 dead with vampires. Now we have a full story-based campaign with classes and abilities.
It seems more plausible to believe that this is the main reason for the game to b...
Microsoft has found itself in an unfortunate situation. I remember when the sentiments towards Xbox switched last year with the announcement of the delay of Starfield and Redfall. Now this year we are back here after High Fi Rush gave Xbox a strong push for what is to come.
Something tells me Microsoft will have a difficult time recovering if it turns out those 2 titles disappoint. I 100% believe that Sony would not have allowed Redfall to be 30 FPS if it was exclusive to ...
This is a massive disappointment. My tv can run at 120 hz, why do they think it is acceptable to launch an action based game at 30 fps in 2023. I will be waiting for the performance mode before playing.
The only way things can get worse is if we learn that Starfield is also 30 fps. If that happens, 2023 is done for Xbox and the little hype they have built up for gamepass will be gone.
I would love to see phantasy star online episode 1 and 2 remastered. If they can modernize the gameplay and reduce some of the grind, it could be goty worthy if done right.
If the are going to remaster Sonic Adventure 2, they should remove the knuckles levels because they are terrible.
I want to see them keep this same consistency with all acquisition that appears on their desk.
