Agreed but if they are going to remake Sonic Adventures 2, they should remove the knuckles and rouge levels as they are tideous. They should also update the stage designs to the level of frontier as I found it to be the best 3D sonic game.
That statement is false. Online gaming as we know it were thanks to innovations made by Microsoft Xbox during their 1st and 2nd generation.
Why couldn't they just let this slide. If this deal was bad for gamers it could easily be proven. What grounds could they possibly have to appeal this case while they failed to demonstrate how the deal will negatively impact consumers.
By your logic, subscription services like ps plus extra and premium are not good for players because the games are old games.
Let's not pretend that GTA5 is one of the biggest games of all time and it is a win for persons on gamepass. Not everyone has played it as yet.
I don't believe parity to this to be a significant challenge for Activision. They have released Call of Duty and Diablo across the series consoles without much issue. I have no reason to believe it will be different now as there are no indications that there will be a huge departure of talent once the deal closes.
When you say the US is the home location of Sony and Microsoft, this confused me because I wasn't aware that Sony originated in the US.
If the injuction is denied, Microsoft can close the deal. Right now things are favoring Microsoft as long as no last minute funny business happens.
I wonder why the games are not the same price across store fronts. Digimon next order is $9.59 on the ps store while is $38.99 on steam
Have we seen any examples of this? The majority of games on game pass are from 3rd party developers and publishers. They are the same games we see on playstation and switch.
Not going to lie and say I never thought of this, but the issue is that I have not seen any examples of it.
Technically, he can make every game they own multiplatform but in the present market, he cannot do so because it would make the Xbox irrelevant. Because things are the way they are and their main competitor is getting ahead because of exclusive titles, they have to work with case-by-case exceptions.
Both Sony and Microsoft have just started releasing PC games to bring in extra revenue, but I don't think they can go any further than that without cannibalizing their cons...
@lodossrage That article you provided about Rise of the Tomb raider only tells me how much Microsoft paid to Crystal Dynamics for that deal.
Here is an article with an interview from an employee at the time when the deal was announced.
"In the interview, Crystal Dynamics GM Darrell Gallagher reveals that Microsoft’s main role is to help bring Rise of the Tomb Raider to market. They are there to help the developers achieve their goals, and to assist i...
This is expected. The game had a great demo.
This is a reach. The same excuse you used for Street Fighter 5 is the same excuse that we can use for Tomb Raider. Xbox "funded" that game. The only difference is that we eventually saw Tomb Raider on Playstation.
The other dealings happened more than a decade ago and both Playstation and Xbox were different businesses back then.
You mean PC is all you need as switch games are playable in an enhanced format on PC. Sony is also releasing playstation games on PC as well. Ratchet and clank is coming next month.
In every generation the PC is the way to go. Especially now where all Xbox games will be out day one on PC and PS5 games will be on there a year later. Switch games can also be enhanced on PC as well.
The negative is that the cost of getting into PC gaming is now several times greater than it was last generation. I tried building a PC on PC part picker with the parts off the recommended specs for Starfield and the build game to almost $1100.
I'm sure I read an article a few years back that both Sony and Microsoft went out to as many publishers and developers to secure deals and acquisition considerations for the new generation. This is not surprising.
I would prefer they stay third party. One less platform I will have to buy/pay an online subscription for.
I would welcome a Dreamcast classic type console but Sega seems to be traumatized by that system.
While cyberpunk 2077 was a mess at launch with all those bugs, the underlying game was solid. Evidence of this was the high viewer count on the videos and articles as gamers were checking in to see if the fixed the game.
The same can be said about Anthem, though the main issue was a deviation from the gameplay reveal, poor implementation of it's loot and quest systems. Bioware dropped the ball on that game and didn't bother to fix it.
They shouldn...
With FF7 Remake and FF16 being released exclusively on playstation, we can't count Sony out of the game as yet. If you are a huge final fantasy Fan though, the Xbox is still the only place other than a 7th gen console or PC where you can play final fantasy 13 natively on the hardware with enhanced resolution.
Lol If 20 million people download starfield day one on game pass, this move would have allowed Microsoft to make an extra 40 million dollars without doing anything extra. Not a good day at all.
How does Xbox pretend to be in last place when the numbers clearly show they are. Xbox didn't release a single AAA game in 2022 and their first AAA game in 2023 was Redfall, a game with a metacritic score of 56 and a user score of 3.4.
Find a concrete reason as to why this deal should not be approved because nearly 40 countries have approved the deal and the FTC had a hard time convincing the judge to support them in blocking the deal.
