This is a massic win for Sony
I fear if I get something like this it will just sit and gather dust. On paper it might sound like it is good for niche scenarios like if the tv is occupied I can still game but in reality, would I want to game on an inferior screen. I am also concerned about the distance I would be able to go from the console because the wifi in the house sucks.
I am sure the main reason the series s sold better than the series x is because during 2021 and 2022, they were manufactured in higher quantities to the point you could find them in the stores compared to the series x. There were also plenty of positive sentiments regarding the series s at the time from most gaming sites and channels on Youtube. I got my series x in 2022 after being on a waiting list for months.
The current gen consoles are still quite powerful. There is definitely benefits to be had with building a PC, however, if you are satisfied with the console experience, there is no need to build an expensive PC. The previous 2 gens showed many benefits for gaming on PC vs consoles but this current gen not so much unless you are used to gaming at framerates exceeding 120fps.
I hope you there will be a sale prior to the closure.

This will be my first Forza motorsport sport game and I am going in with an open mind. I didn't know the previous games had split screen but I suspect some compromise must have been made to achieve 4k 60 with RT features.
Turn 10 is one of the better studios so I am sure they will release those other features down the line.
We need to have a discussion on what is making Blizzard suck so much lately. Is it Activision's greed and can we expect a pivot back to what made Blizzard great with new leadership. How can we pressure phill to steer Blizzard away from agreesive monitization tactics.
With the release date being just a little over a week away, it may not be a good idea to burn yourself out on mech games until then.
Developers need to come out and explain what the limiting features are for the series S so we the gamers can go in with the expectation that X feature will not be available on the series S. That way Microsoft can then remove the parity mandate.
Playstation gamers don't expect haptic feedback and tempest audio to be available on PS4 because we already know the feature isn't supported by the hardware.
Most importantly if split screen gaming is what the limiting feature is, it is preventing certain games from being released on Xbox for their gamers.
Why does the ps5 version cost $10 more than the PC version?
It's not feasible to try to fix Redfall. I would rather they release a 60 fps patch for the dishonored games for series S/X to breathe life into those games. After that, they can move on to something better.

I am reading this while looking at my Xbox copies of Elden Ring and Sonic frontier.
This is a shame. I think Ratchet and Clank Rift apart is one of the best PS5 exclusives released to date. Despite the bugs I experiences during my playthrough, I think the worst part of the game was when the credits started to roll.
The poor reception of this game may very well be the poor marketing done for the game and people didn't even know the true system requirements until shortly before it's release. Releasing the game on PS Plus extra didn't help things ...
If Crystal Dynamics ever becomes at risk of closure. Hopefully they get aquired by Sony or Microsoft. I am not sure why Square Enix sold them off as it was one of their better studios.
Tell the truth people. Do you actually notice any difference with 3D audio on? I went out and paid over $100 for steel series headsets for the 3D audio experience but couldn't notice much difference from when I was gaming on the PC with my headset. Help me understand in what way the experience is better from someone who has tried it first hand.
Give me a source where a developer specifically says that is the limitation. All we have so far is speculation from non developers.
Not sure why you he so many dislikes as this is one of the most anti consumer products out there.
