I don't even understand this article. NO ONE SAID single player games are dying. They said LINEAR games are dying. Star Wars isn't shifting to a multiplayer game, it's shifting to a more non-linear game. Guess what Mario Odyssey is? A non-linear game. Guess what Zelda, Horizon, etc. are? Non-linear games. This whole article is based on a faulty premise.
Personally, I don't think it's that linear games are dying either - I just think that gamers are reall...
As someone that has both an xbox and ps4, I'm much more excited about GTsport. To me, it's a question of quality over quantity. Sure, Forza has tons of content, but I would get bored of Forza long before I went through it all. Learning to drive better and competing in a skill based format is the entire draw to racing games for me, and Forza driving has always felt more like an arcade game to me.
lol at all the people who don't know the difference between dynamic and scripted. Forza unequivocally does not have dynamic weather people. It does, however, have scripted weather.
To be honest, I've never thought that Dark Souls was even that hard. I feel like people confuse "hard" with "punishing". Dark Souls is one of the most "punishing" games I've ever played, not one of the hardest. I've played a lot of harder games, just not many that screw me over so bad for failing and make me want to pull my eyebrow hairs out as a result.
@TheDreamCorridor lol k? You act as if his opinion is far fetched. I can understand you personally thinking the game is overrated, but you'd have to be a pretty biased person to think that the general consensus is that BOTW is not among the best games of all time. It has a 97 on metacritic. I think your opinion is the outlier here.
I feel like people forgot that Halo 4 had one of the best singleplayer campaigns in the series. They had one subpar single player (in the same game with awesome multiplayer) and people start talking about salvaging Halo?
In my opinion Halo 4 single player + Halo 5 multiplayer = best Halo in the series.
@VenomSnakeRisingX having less games? I have a feeling you didn't watch the most recent Nintendo Direct? In fact, I'll bet most people who are downvoting @Sammykee's comment didn't watch the most recent Nintendo Direct. I feel like they announced more games in that direct than they did at E3!
I don't know. Just do a google image search for Tifa and tell me if you think the images are sexualized in any way. I think it's pretty clear she's thought of as having a lot of sex appeal in general. Having said that, there's nothing in her character in the game that really portrays that other than her clothing, and I doubt they'd change that. Perhaps her larger than normal breasts, which they might tone down a little to match Advent Children.
@TheRandomOne And the problem is...? :D
Why is everyone fixating on that one line and not reading the rest of the article? Everyone is even misinterpreting what he meant by that line. He wasn't even saying the game should be like those games - just that it should have a little more depth, similar to those games.
The article is instead about how little has changed from Destiny 1 and that it doesn't do enough to warrant being called a true sequel. He's not saying this game is bad because it isn't li...
Did you even read the article? That's not AT ALL what he said - like, AT ALL. His primary gripe is it's basically the exact same game as Destiny 1 with only a few superficial improvements, despite the many criticisms of the original game. He's complaining basically that the game didn't do enough to earn the label of a sequel rather than just a more expansive DLC. He even stated the excellent opening sequence in the beta that got everyone hopeful was a false indicator of the re...
I don't care about the low settings because Skyrim in VR on low settings will look 100 times better than Skyrim on high settings (those who've tried VR a bunch will know what I mean).
I don't care about the poor controls because I think you'd have to be an idiot to play it with anything other than a standard controller with standard controls, which I plan to do.
I do however care about them taking out all the enemies and making the world ...
To be honest, I have always been a huge RPG fan, especially back in the 8 or 16-bit days, but I've never gotten the love for this game. If you take out the humor and setting, the game is as bland as RPGs come. Without the humor and setting, it's like an RPG maker game. I tried to play the game a couple times, but never got far because the humor wasn't my cup of tea and the rest of the game was a drag - tons of random battles with a generic, largely featureless battle system.
I would really give the game a 10 and it's my favorite Zelda's game of all time (and I always favored the 2d ones over the 3d ones). But even I found flaws in the game.
To me, the biggest one is how fast items break and that there is no way to repair them. I can't tell you how much I hate this.
Second, the stamina stuff really bugged me, but it got a lot better later in the game when I got a ton more stamina. I mean, I can't swim across a ...
I just can't understand this. Skyward Sword felt soulless to me. It was so formulaic and repetitive. This game literally feels more alive than any game I've ever played personally. The realism of the world and the freedom to climb and go anywhere and all the wildlife and the physics and the incredibly smart ai and something new and exciting to discover over every mountain. There are so many things to do and discover. I just don't get how anyone can feel this way.
I don't understand this argument. Do you really buy a Switch to play CoD? No. You buy it for games like Zelda, Mario, and Xenoblade. Frankly, if you want both types of games, buy both consoles, but saying Nintendo can't succeed without games like CoD and Fifa and such is just stupid. It's like you're judging all of history by the Wii U alone and forgetting the past. Did you forget the Wii won its generation and didn't have large 3rd party support either? The Switch already...
Aaaand, I guarantee you are saying these things without ever spending any significant time with it. I have every console from the last two generations and my Switch probably gets the most play now. Zelda is just so amazing and Snipperclips, Mario Kart, and Overcooked have even gotten my wife into gaming with me. Honestly, I didn't even want one to begin with (my wife surprised me), but it's a very well built system with a lot of really fun games and a lot of good games on the way.
I tried it on console and the aiming was so bad I didn't care whether it was a good game or not. It had that same wonky problem a lot of older games had where you could only aim in straight horizontal or vertical lines and couldn't smoothly move your cursor in a circle.
@TheGamingArt What the freak? Learn to read people! Why is reading comprehension so bad among people? I never said the pro controller was amazing, just that's what I've heard from others. I've never even tried it before, so I have no idea personally! How was I downvoted and the idiotic comment that totally missed the point of my post upvoted?
It's like TheGamingArt is determined to label me as biased for my completely unbiased review no matter what I say. It...
I can't get into Forza the way I get into GT, and it's 100% the driving model. Forza feels like an arcade game in comparison to me, and I just don't have much interest in arcade racers.
