Looking at this list, you can see the problem with Microsoft's strategy immediately. Other than Rare (which is really struggling), every first party studio they own is dedicated to making a single game and its sequels. They don't have any studios other than Rare that can even experiment on something new or make a different game - thus the reason Microsoft is criticized for being a Forza, Halo, Gears console only. They need to snatch up some more studios and then give them some creativ...
I completely agree, especially because I don't think the genre has been done really well yet. PUBG and Fortnite are the only ones that aren't pretty junky. PUBG is a buggy mess with tons of issues and Fortnite is a bastard child of a totally different game, yet both are incredibly popular. Can you imagine how well a well polished AAA Battle Royale would do? I think the best Battle Royale game is yet to come.
What's wrong with having both?
Besides, I don't agree with this idea that single player games are falling by the wayside. There are a LOT more single player games out there than multiplayer games. The single player games just don't get as much attention as multiplayer games since multiplayer games are generally more popular and longer lasting.
That's correct. This is actually an incredibly stupid article. It sounds like it's by someone that has never played the game. Ghillie suits are only found in game in air drops. There is nothing but cosmetic items in boxes, and while some might blend in a little more, it's up to you whether you want to wear a green shirt or a neon pink shirt, and the green shirt isn't designed to blend in. They didn't shoot themselves in the foot or anything - just stated something everyone...
I'm going to guess you didn't read the actual article.
He literally says in the article, "This is a videogame -- it’s made-up, it’s entertainment, it’s just people being creative. I get that. But..."
And then he goes on to explain why it's still a problem. And he has a point. Go read the actual article. Don't be one of those people that comments after just reading a title or the first few lines.
I think the article is actually the one that is missing the mark and is pretty misleading. Miyamoto didn't really want that scene in the game - he was trying to mock the violence in it and put it in perspective. He would never have actually put that scene in the game, but then he would never have made a game like that to begin with. He didn't call the game "tragic" and "horrible" because he thought it was bad - he called it that because he thought it was completely...
Treyarch wouldn't remaster it. Raven would. They do the remasters. Two separate studios. So it wouldn't really matter if it's packaged with a Treyarch game.
Haven't really liked a CoD since MW2 and somewhat MW3. As a result, I stopped playing CoD a while ago and have been playing a variety of other shooters and games.
I have to admit though, I've missed CoD a bit. I've found few games since as fun as chasing for nukes with friends in MW2. The problem for me is I don't think they've released a really good CoD in years, or at least not one that sparked my interest. If they released a really good CoD, I'd b...
Superhot is an amazing game. Not sure about the others.
Reading it in detail, seems like the reviewer overreacted a bit to me. This seems more like a possible misunderstanding mixed with a biased developer answering tweets instead of a pure PR guy, rather than a "PR meltdown". This reads to me more like the reviewer taking it personally that casually being thrown his negative review when they asked for specific criticism wasn't what they were hoping for, and so he went after them in a pretty scummy way. I'm not saying these guys ...
Honestly, I would switch to fortnite if not for the dumb instant building of walls and airborne walkways aspect and more importantly, the bunny jumping gun play. Just my personal preference, but I vastly prefer PUBG's gunplay model.
@Prince-Ali You're calling me stupid and unable to read? Look in the mirror idiot. I was responding specifically to a comment referencing these screenshots. No where did I say I wasn't aware they weren't current graphics, just that the ones here have facial problems.
Not only that, but speaking of being unable to read, the article has links to screenshots that are current, and his face looks the exact same. The major change is they've added facial animation...
Especially the main character's face. Everyone keeps complaining about the lack of facial animation, but his face looks like it was modeled for the Dreamcast still. It doesn't look realistic at all.
Yeah, and some of the animations bug me to death. I think the idea though is a CoD clone that's free to play, so the generic gameplay might actually appeal to some people.
They're tech demos, huh? So you've played them? You know exactly what they're going to be already? You might be right, but Nintendo has a pretty good history of making charming, engaging games and have been hitting it out of the park lately. I'll tell you, comparing it to Wii Sports, a game most people played to death, isn't helping your argument.
This dude is mistaking "I'm not interested" with "no one is interested". My kids are going to go nuts over this.
I keep going back and forth about getting this game, and your post makes it even harder.
First of all, you said it wasn't Ni no Kuni and I hated Ni No Kuni and don't understand how that game was popular. The battle system had poorly thought out controls, the monsters respawned way too soon, the story was meh, the characters were annoying (especially lamp nose), and worst of all, I've never played a game that treated you like an idiot more and thought it had to l...
I feel like his face still needs a little work personally. Something about the proportions of his head and face look too small or pinched or unrealistic or something.
My biggest feature I want is streaming my PC to my switch, which is hopefully being added later this month via the Rainway app. Can't wait to play my PC backlog on my switch!
These are entirely different developers taking a bit of a different angle on the game. Why judge the game by the past one made by different developers instead of waiting to see how this one turns out?
