"Con's:
- solo campaign too short (6 hours long)
- story is not as charming and funny as its predecessor."
Why are reviewers so suddenly hell-bent on cutting the score for short campaigns? They hardly ever did it for MW2. And why are they cutting points for the humor(or lack of it)?
And I noticed they gave it an 8/10 for graphics, while they gave MW2 10/10. They should really learn to look past the gun models. Look at MW2's envirionment fo...
Hope it stays that way. The devs deserve not only critical but also financial success. They're among the few that actually listen to their fan-base.
HA! What did you expect from a piss-poor port? A masterpiece? This is the sequel to one of the most repetitive games I've ever played. I knew the so-called 'improvements' over the first game were gonna be minimal at best.
@ Letros - Dude, I can't believe you caved and bought the game. A week ago you were quite vocal about your dislike for this crap from Ubi. Hope you've learned your lesson. lol
Strange. What dedicated PC gamer would want to buy a pre-configured PC for almost twice the price of a custom built one? Heck, I don't even need the flashy neon lights and fancy so-called 'pro' cabinets on my PC. I prefer perfomance over looks for my money.
The pic on the right looks more like a 'Booty Call' than 'Call of Duty'. :D
I believe not all games have to be automatically 'dumbed down' when they go multiplat. But the thing is that, going exclusive to a single platform gives a game much more potential to be amazing/groundbreaking. On the other hand, the risk of low profit(for PC in particular) becomes a lot higher than going multiplat. And since most publishers are in it for the money, they can't always take that chance, especially if it's a game with a big development budget.
If the devs dedicate ...
The overwhelming success of any particular genre across multiple platforms is gonna come at the cost of other genres. It's just the way it is.
I think the first game I've ever seen using the cover system was Rogue Trooper, which came out almost a year before Gears of War did. Yes, Gears popularized the cover system, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first to implement it like most people claimed.
My guess is, he tried to sign her up for a movie, she laughed at the idea, thus the B-word. Anyway, I thought this guy would've gone bankrupt 3 times over already, given his crappy record.
Maybe. But then, I also remebered you saying, "Alan Wake is only on 360 because PC hardware cannot handle it's huge open environments and open-ended gameplay."(which you later 'edited', BTW) So, now I just consider you a hilariously sad 360 troll.
Then why not just play on a console? It sounds so much easier. Just pop the disc in and play seems a lot better than all the PC install/config hassle, if you're gonna play on your couch with a 52" TV and a controller anyway.
The essence of PC gaming is not just the superior graphical power, but also the KB/M combo in FPS/RTS games. Just my two cents...
That is why I tend to not rely on most reviews. MW2 had a whole bunch of 9+/10 review scores, and look how that tured out. A 5-hour campaign with a glitch-fest/hack-fest multiplayer, which IW cannot even fix.
My advice is - Play the demo, or in the case of PC gamers, get into the beta, and see for yourself. Most reviewers are biased and are not reliable.
Not if you live 15 minutes away from the store. lol
Well, the price of the PC version is probably gonna be $20 or less in India. And Yes, it is the original retail copy, not pirated. Modern Warfare 2 is $20, Mass Effect 2 is $18, GTA4 is $10 and the same goes for L4D2.
No they haven't. EA's business policy will never change. It is whether their contracted developers come up with a good game or not that generates the supposed 'changes'. Publishers are the worst in this industry, while at least some devs are sympathetic towards gamers.
The only conclusion I got out of looking at all those pics is that 80% of the MMO population is made up of EMOs and weird dudes. And also that I've just wasted 10 minutes of my life that I'm never gonna get back.
Formula One is back. I've been waiting forever for this. I want this to be as realistic as possible as well, espicially the pit-lane activity and the car setup fine-tuning.
"Gentlemen, start your engines."
I'm actually very impressed with the look(and that hardly ever happens these days). Couple that with a kick-ass gameplay, add a compelling storyline and we have a GOTY worthy material.
It's a direct console port, what did you expect? If the PC version was developed seperately, no dedicated developer would pass up the chance to add DX10/DX11 support.
That does it. I cutting this game off my "To Buy" list. If I wanted DX9-only games, I'd go back to 2006. Lazy devs.
For the love of......Is no one gonna bother doing an in-depth review on the multiplayer? This is a multiplayer-oriented game. So, they just do the singleplayer and say, "Oh, too short. Let's give it 8/10."
And how the hell does BC2 'loses out' to MW2 in terms of graphics? The only thing MW2 have for it's visuals is the high-detailed gun models and overly-glossed characters. Environmental details look like crap.
