@Shackdaddy836 -
I don't care whether they're "sucky stuff" or not. I want equality and consistency. I should have the same items available to me as any other player that paid the full price for the game.
I really don't understand what EA is trying to achieve here. At this rate they're only going to alienate some of their fanbase and drive them away to other franchises(eg:- MW3). They worked so hard to capture the attention of millions of gamers, only to come up with s**t like this.
@S_C
That doesn't justify anything. Both companies are trying to screw their fanbase over, albeit at different prices. At least Activision is consistent in their "evil" plans by making everybody pay for it.
Yeah sure, "Let them make their profit". Maybe we can help as well. Let's pay $10 extra for content that other gamers are getting for free. That will surely help EA make profit. Activision has been ripping-off their fans for years. EA should be able to do the same thing to their own fans, right? /s
Some of it is supposedly region-based, so not everybody's gonna get the same thing. It may not be a problem for you, but it is for lots of other gamers. You should take that into account before you criticize your fellow gamers.
And it's people who "bend over" all the time that are making publishers bolder and bolder.
That is not the point. Whether it's a good game or not is irrelevant to this. They need to be fair and impartial to all their supporters.
To be fair, you're a bit too quick to use the "M" word on others -
1. Not all the pre-order items will be available to the non-pre-order pack even at later dates, except maybe in paid DLCs. So you're effectively paying the same money for less content. And yeah, it's a little unfair.
2. Nobody's complaining about "getting something free". They're complaining about "NOT getting something free" for the same cost....
Okay then. My mistake. I thought they were the same "looking into possibility of dedicated servers" comment, worded differently.
"Please don't forget to include MW3 when you buy BF3. Bobby desperately needs to buy a new private island to add to his personal collection."
@ Disagree - Oh, c'mon. It's only a joke. Have pity on a poor soul.
I think this was already posted yesterday or so.
First time I've heard about this. But damn, it's friggin' hilarious.
It's kinda sad how having dedicated servers on PC is "breaking news" these days.
Ooooh.... This has potential for some heated debate.
*watches intently*
"This is WAR. It's brutal. There's no room for good sportsmanship. If he wants to play the game, he's gonna have to pre-order like everybody else and wait for the beta."
No real surprise there. :P
Well, PC is the lead platform. And as a lead platform, it's probably closer to the final product than the other versions. The console versions are probably still a little way off from being ready to be shown.
There's still 2 months to the beta launch in September, so I think we'll start to see some console footage before then.
"Yeah. We're looking to support dedicated servers. But NO.
However, we do have a nice little DLC for PC that's only gonna cost you $40. Does that show we love our PC fans or what?"
I'm sold on this game. Used to be a PES fan, but their clunky controls mechanisms, questionable AI and quirky physics have pushed me away.
Yeah. It's not EA's fault that the bonus items are only available to selected outlets and regions. It's your own fault for not living in those areas. And don't complain about the "gibberish" relies from our customer-support services. At least they take the time to reply, even if it's completely useless and illegible.
Besides, most of those free items will be available to everyone after a couple of months.......@ $5 per pack. Activision has been c...
