Oh god. More of the same crap? I was kinda hoping they'd let the series end.......forever.
The author must be reading my mind. That is exactly what I though the last time I read a colorful rant from a disgruntled female gamer.
The sad thing about the online gaming scene is that, equality does not always entail 'better treatment' from other gamers.
Personally, I've never found Harley hot. Poison Ivy, on the other hand........WOOF!
Are the console versions really confirmed by the dev? Or is it just some no-name blooger's speculation?
Edit - Nevermind. I got it. They're gonna finish the development for PC version first, then work on the console versions.
I'm all for Treyarch making a good game. I just wish it wasn't under the supervision of Bobby Kotick and his minions. And I wish they were given the freedom to make a new IP rather than just keep churning out a new COD game every 2 years.
BTW I'm,pretty sure the decision to remove dedicated servers and port the game from consoles to PC for MW2 was made by IW themselves and not by Activision as many gamers believe. Which means IW are as much the guilty party as Activision in thi...
I think SC looks slightly better, but only 'slightly'. I was hoping SC would look amazing, but looking at those shots, it's not as good-looking as it's hyped up to be. I'll reserve my judgement after the game comes out. Although MGS4 textures are starting to look slightly old now, it wasn't the graphics alone that made it a great game.
Knowing Kotick, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. The same formula is gonna be done many times over until the franchise dies out.
It's been too long since we had a proper F1 game. It's high time for some grid action.
To the people saying the PC is weaker than consoles on a performance-hardware ratio, I don't think it's fair to judge them based on that alone. Since the PC has so many background programs that use up lots of CPU and RAM, while the consoles are created solely for gaming. Like Dithurts said, try loading Windows 7 on PS3 hardware first and then we can talk about the performance-hardware ratio.
But as I've said before, I really don't see enough graphical difference in those Crysis...
As a PC gamer myself, I really don't see the need to put up a flamebait title like that. And I'm not too thrilled about those shots either. Crytek seems to be taking full advantage of console hardware but not PC hardware. The differences are visible, but only barely. Since it's gonna be linear rather than sandbox, I was hoping they'd go all-out with PC graphics.
I prdicted correctly then. We've waited too long for a game made by devs who truly appreciate their PC supporters. And the numbers are gonna keep growing as the good news spreads. Thank you, DICE.
After the crap they gave us with AC2, I'm pretty sure I'm not buying any more games from Ubisoft for the forseeable future.
Actually, piracy does not automatically equal 'loss of sales'. It's more like 'illegal copying' rather than 'stealing'.
Your example is flawed. If you steal someone's car, he loses his car. But in piracy no actual game copy is lost. It's just that it is 'copied/duplicated/cloned without permission'. To equate piracy with car theft, the car has to be literally copied/replicated and the original car would not be lost to the owner.
A better example would be if you use ...
IMO, pirates are gonna pirate anyway regardless of whether a game has DRM or not. In actuality, the devs aren't losing anything from those people. So, they should just drop their excuse about losing tons of money to pirates.
Instead of worrying about pirates, they should worry about making better games people will actually want to buy at the right price. Take Assassin's Creed 2 for example. It's already 6 months late, is way overpriced, has only DX9 graphics and then there's th...
I thought this was already posted yesterday.
"...the excitement and pace of the action is up there with Modern Warfare..."
"...the emphasis on squad work and brutally fast pace might make it inaccessible at first to twitch-gamers used to Modern Warfare's tight battlegrounds, but it's a richer and more diverse experience...."
Oh, so that's why you gave MW2 10/10 while BC2 gets only 8/10? Make up your damn minds.
Talk about 'disrespect'....IW gave them their most profitable game, and in return they fired the co-founder. I see some colorful headlines in the near future.
If this is indeed a publicity stunt, and I'm half-sure it is, then IW/Activision have sunk to a whole new level lower than 'pathetic', attempting something like this on DICE's big night.
Makes no sense. Possible publicity stunt? I mean, BF: BC2 is about to come out in a few hours and take the spotlight....
That seems to be a very weak "proof". I'm not sure Bioware would blatantly let one of their employees openly "review" rival games like that. If this is true, however, the guy's probably already fired by now.
Anyway, Dragon Age 2 was a let-down for me, considering I enjoyed Origins. Probably 6/10. From what I've been hearing about The Witcher 2, it's a potential 9/10.
