Everything has to start somewhere. Sony wants to be at the forefront so they can refine the product over time, and the tech only going to get better if it starts, and PSVR is a good start.
Does Gear VR even count? It’s literally just a chunk of plastic that requires a particular phone model to use it, and is given away for free all the time as a part of phone deals. The only reason to bring up its sales is to try and trash PSVR.
That’s true, but the time limit thing sounds like it would end up like another Superman 64 travesty.
The rumors of a Superman game would be cool, but let’s be real here: how on earth to make a Superman game that doesn’t completely reduce his powers? I mean, unless every single enemy is Doomsday, the game would basically have you be invincible.
I purchased the launch bundle for $500, and this news doesn’t bother me one bit. I just want to see PSVR continue to grow and thrive so that we can someday see an even better version.
It’s still the best selling dedicated headset on the market, and has been selling extremely well through this passed week. The numbers might not be insanely high, but that has a lot more to do with low VR adoption rates overall. At least Sony is pushing through, so they’re going to have a foundation to build upon with their next gen headset, while MS is going to be scrambling to buy someone else’s.

Nah. I just tell the truth, and it upsets the hipster snowflakes who are just hating on something because they think everyone else is doing it.
And you don’t have to buy them. I have a light level 305 (current max) Titan, and I haven’t spent a dime on silver in the game. All the microtransactions have zero effect on gameplay, and it can all be earned through bright engrams; if you don’t have patience, that’s what the MT’s are for, but only an idiot would actually do it.
You clearly haven’t played it. I’ve yet to buy a single microtransaction and I’ve got so many shaders, I’m constantly having to dismantle them to make room for more. Once again, those microtransactions are strictly cosmetic, ie stuff that doesn’t affect gameplay. All weapons and armor have to be earned through gameplay; there’s no other way of getting them. Calling D2 a $60 expansion is literally no different than saying every Halo that features Master Chief is an overpriced expansion to Halo...
There’s so much more story potential to Horizon, especially after the huge cliffhanger ending. I definitely want Guerila to continue with that universe.

SOCOM and MAG. Say what you will, but MAG was an incredible multiplayer shooter, and way ahead of its time. I wish Sony would take the risk of making a new one.

I can’t figure out why anyone cares? The XP only goes to bright engrams, and all that is purely cosmetic. The only slightly cool things you can get out of them are new paint jobs for some exotics. That’s it. People want to get butthurt and trash Bungie, even though they’ve been the most fair when it comes to microtransactions, and I can tell by the comments here that most of those people haven’t even played the game. Get over it.
Sony did it at the start of this gen because they were busy developing the amazing exclusives we’re enjoying now and getting in the next couple years; MS is doing it because their “billion dollar games investment” turned into their strongest franchises having subpar entries and new IP’s turning out to be DOA shovelware, so they’re trying to hide the fact that their common practice of suckering everyone in with decent launch exclusives has failed.
