Agreed. There’s no way in hell that there are ever more than 500K on shelves at any given time during the off-holiday seasons. These are September figures, meaning Sony has yet to start shipping their holiday stock. Needless to say, it’s going to be A LOT more than 2.6 million.
@RobotimusPrime. The entire Xbone line will likely finish its lifetime at 55 - 60 million units sold, worldwide. If Nintendo manages to put a strong franchise, like Pokemon for Switch, out next year, the Switch could still have a fairly strong 2018. In terms of lifetime, it’s hard to say, but I think Switch will reach the 80 millions in total sales, easily surpassing Xbone in LT sales.
PS4, however, is going to outsell both by a pretty large margin.
@Jag...
Patching in bug fixes/ small features is NOT the same as having to add in whole segments because the game isn’t finished. You do realize Bluehole already has more maps, as well a single player campaign, planned right? How can you claim a game is the best when you have no idea what the final product is going to be? How about actually playing the finished peodhct before claiming it’s better than other finished products? If the full game releases next year, and it still holds up as a great title...
Found the person that doesn’t actually play games lol
@Wooly Horizon has received patches to add in small features like NG+; they aren’t patching in whole unifinished segments because the game wasn’t complete at launch, like PUBG. Poor comparison.
An early access game should NOT, nor ever, win Game of the Year. That doesn’t even make sense. If the majority of the content isn’t even there yet, how can you judge the overall quality of the game? Let alone compare it to other finished games. The full game releases next year; if the finished product turns out great, then put it up for GotY.
They’re right. Here come the “indiestation” and “indies don’t count as games!” Xbox fans to magically change their opinions again because MS said so.
I sure hope so. Game is looking good so far. Sony Bend clearly has talent, so they deserve to be put on the map too and receive support produce bigger and better games down the road.
Ok? This is an approximation to unlock EVERYTHING. You obviously don’t need to unlock everything to enjoy the game. Most multiplayer games nowadays are like that, minus the microtransactions. The whole point is to make sure that the player always feels like they’re working towards something, so that they don’t get bored quickly. Plus, EA making the microtransactions very expensive should be seen as a deterrent for pay to win d-bags. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m with EA on this.
Are people really bothered by the fact that EA and DICE are hoping for longevity in this game?
Honestly, the more expensive it is, the better, seeing as it’s going to deter most people from buying it, since it supposedly would take 40 hours tops to get him through just playing. I’d say good on EA if it’s that expensive because it’ll force people to actually put effort forth and play the game; anyone dumb enough to spend that amount? Well, more power to them I guess. Yeah
I have to ask though, are the microtransactions genuinely that bad? Or are reviewers trashing the game just because of EA.
If they want this whole GaaS future, they might as well. Hell, they’d probably benefit far more by putting their games on PS.
The franchise was never known for its gameplay quality; just how pretty it looked, and what people have been able to do through heavy modding over the years. I remember playing 2 on PS3, and the game was total trash.
I got bored and looked up some more mods, and while the game’s ground textures and foliage amount have aged pretty well, objects like rocks look god awful. I’m still not sure what the obsession here is; most high ends PC graphics cards would melt trying to run this.
“Exclusives no one cares about”
https://youtu.be/hqNevyMCTb...
When any Xbone exclusive gets that kind of reaction, feel free to talk lol
That’s pretty overboard. It’s just a game at the end of the day. I understand people are passionate about gaming, but P2W isn’t worth killing people over.
Yeah, because they’re aggressively trying to convince people to forget about the Xbone and act like X is their only console. I feel bad for the 30 million people that own a regular Xbone, plus the many more that will buy it in the future.
CoD WW2 is actually a pretty good entry in the series. It at least hits most of the right notes, while abandoning most of what made the prior last few entries suck.
A snowball would have better chances surviving in hell than X does of surpassing PS4 sales.
