Destiny 2, CoD WW2, Crash, Persona 5?.. Yeah, ok...

Love how your article makes us load a fresh page for each item, while making a clearly controversial list. Gotta get that ad revenue somehow

TLoU2 might be PS4’s swan song, but it could also be Death Stranding. Or both. 2013 was actually a pretty insane year for PS3 when you really go over what Sony releases for the console, even after PS4 was already out on the market. I can only imagine that whatever game is PS4’s “TLoU”, it will be accompanied by several others, right before we have PS5 in our hands.

Kindof expected, considering Gran Turismo is the best selling racing sim of all time, and even at its worst a title can still sell several millions of copies.

If SP games die, the industry dies with them. There’s so much you can do with single player that you’ll never be able to do with multiplayer. Multiplayer has its perks, but it’s based off of repetition.

I have a feeling TLoU 2 will not be a 2018 title, but instead mid-2019. Either way, there’s still SotC, Spider-Man, Detroit, and Days Gone to enjoy in 2018. Maybe even Ghost will come in 2018. Who knows? As far as 2019 is concerned, there’s still Death Stranding to factor in as a gem.

It’s a brilliant strategy. Sony is smart to not try and compete with the big third party releases. Working with said third parties has benefited them far more.

You mention MS like they’re actual competition Sony should be concerned about. Sony’s timing for releases is smart; MS’s tactic of trying to take the holidays by clogging it full of games has only backfired since this gen started.

What did Sony lead you to believe it was, exactly? Sony simply said Pro was an option for the devoted PS users who want a slightly better overall experience through higher resolutions and better use of HDR. It was made clear from the beginning that the PS4 experience would not change, regardless of which one you own. They never sold it off as a 4K/ 60 FPS powerhouse that would be a complete overhaul of the base hardware; that was MS who told that lie.

Maybe you should’ve wa...

That’s why I’ve been holding off preordering. A Nordic Kratos statue would go great with my Aloy and Drake ones.

March 2018 would fall in line with the franchise history and the Early 2018 timeframe.

I remember when the Azure cloud was supposed to make Xbone more powerful than 4 Titans. Or how about how DX12 was going to make all multiplats perform better on Xbone? All that false hype and damage control, only for the Xbox cheerleaders to abandon the console overnight as soon as a more powerful version released. Right.

PSVR is actually leading the VR industry and is going to shape the future of VR on consoles. PS Now has its rough edges, but clearly it’s working out, co...

Pro and Switch. I’m good to go.

Ok. Like I said, haven’t even turned on my Xbone since last November.

On PS4 or Xbone? Because I haven’t signed into XBL since last November, so I have no idea what’s going on there.

Simple. Loot boxes offering only cosmetic items are fine. Gameplay isn’t effected, but the dev/ publisher can bank on the fairly large population of people that are still dumb enough to spend money on them.

Loot boxes offering items directly tied to progression, in a game that already has a $60 price up front (ie not free), are bad.

To be fair, BF2 sales have been pretty far down the drain.

MT’s and loot boxes aren’t a problem; it’s simply how they’re used.

Good loot boxes = Overwatch, CoD, and Destiny

Bad loot boxes = BF2.

Well, not having PS Plus means you lose some of the benefits. If you don’t want to Pony up for the service, there’s no reason you should get the same free games as others that do. Feel free to disagree, but that’s my opinion.

Hopefully as Sony’s smaller studios continue to grow, they’ll be able to be like Naughty Dog and develop different games simultaneously, and we’ll start to see them branch out in areas like MP again. Sony put out plenty of multiplayer heavy games last gen, but it was back when Halo was still popular and CoD had started ruling the FPS market, so everything was being compared to those two instead of being rated on their own merit. Resistance, Starhawk, and MAG were some of the best MP experienc...
