You’re forgetting that the FCC has already gotten Title 1 and Title 2 internet protections. You know... the things that literally prevent government from stepping in and telling people what they are and are not allowed to see on the internet, as well as denying corporations the ability to charge people extra for they want? People like Trump and Ajit Pai don’t give a crap about you, but they know that you, just like 90% of the US, are likely an avid user of the internet, and they want to do an...
@DarkXyde The dude is an absolute sh*tbag. He openly stated that he doesn’t care about public opinion, because he thinks the numbers are fake from individual people using multiple accounts to write in. Apparently that’s how democracy works now.
If Net Neutrality dies, it will confirm that we have the single worst President/ administration in American history. I hate to drag politics into this, but this a serious political issue. It could literally lead to an economic collapse.
Sadly, with Net Neutrality hanging by a thread, that could become a reality in the next few years.
Interestingly, that was Ubisoft’s solution to try and win people in For Honor after that gane’s Seriously bad launch issues lol
Agreed. Not sure how anyone can say Nintendo stole it, when both consoles catered to very different demographics. I’d say they made a system that makes a good secondary console, especially if you have a PS4 Pro. As of right now, you can’t go wrong owning both a PS4 and a Switch. A decent PC rig would just be icing on the cake.
@DarkXyde You clearly weren’t paying attention to when the PS4 was $200; it was in the #2 spot the whole time before it quickly sold out. It dropped because the price went back up, and any orders for it are on back order until fresh stock comes in. The $190 Xbone S promotion is still going because there’s still plenty more to sell. If the head of Playstation is correct in saying that this was PlayStation’s Best Black Friday EVER for sales, I find it incredibly hard to believe that Xbone someh...
Stole? No. They simply complemented releases a good system that complements the PS4. Sony still dominated the worldwide market, and catered very nicely to their growing player base with some amazing exclusives, and even better ones to come.
I’m not really making it about Xbox. I’m more so making the reminder to the hardcore Xbox fans who constantly try and down PS4.
PS1 sold around 105 million units in its lifetime, PS4 will easily beat that number. I have my doubts it’ll surpass PS2, but it’ll still do amazing numbers. I’m thinking 125 - 130 million before it tapers off completely.
Nope. All either have been on PC for a while, are releasing simultaneously on PC, or are coming to PS4 as well.
@Automatic Look at you, getting all defensive lol
Please save us the BS and don’t pretend that Xbox fans didn’t bash the crap out of indies for the majority of this gen so far. If those games are ones you enjoy, help yourself bro, but your response makes it look like you’re trying deflect that Xbox fanboys would be crapping on that list if it were a PlayStation lineup.
Halo 6, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, And Forza 8. What shocking titles...
So how do you explain the Xbone S being $10 cheaper, yet readily available through out the whole period? And no, the regular prices ones are not everywhere; if you actually try to place an order, you’re put on back order until they get fresh stock.
Also, the console being $200 over the holidays is pretty typical considering it’s 4 years old and has a higher version, vice Switch which still basically just came out. It obviously doesn’t need a price drop yet, but it will be ...
If either TLoU 2 or Death Stranding release in 2018, it’s almost guaranteed next year will top this year. A console peaking at its 5th year would be insane.
Very true, but it will incredibly hilarious if PS4 beats Xbox in NPD this month, despite the launch of “the world’s most powerful Netflix box- I MEAN - console lol
I constantly see the naysayers making claims like “PS4 is irrelevant since it no longer has more power” or “PS4 sales are going to fall soon because everyone already owns one”, and yet year after year it just keeps shattering not only its own records, but making PlayStation and gaming history. The naysayers claimed multiplats would sell better on Xbone X, and yet here we are with Titles marketed for X selling better on PS4. 4 years later, and we still don’t know if this is the console’s peak ...
How so? What does X do for the gaming experience that sets it up for the foreseeable future besides slightly better hardware? In 2-3 years, we’re be seeing PS5, and you can be pretty sure it’s gonna moo the floor with X hardware, and it’s going to actually offer experiences that cater to it; not rely on having slightly better textures and resolution. 4K Blu Ray means nothing to me because it doesn’t offer anything different to gaming that regular Blu Ray doesn’t already.
X ...
I think it’s a safe assumption at this point that the full release will releasing on PS4 at launch. The only people who don’t want that are the ravenous Xbox fanboys, desperate for something to add to their lists
I’m okay with them announcing later into development because it means we’ll have it our hands sooner. I was happy as a pig in manure when they revealed the game has been in development since right after Second Son launched.
