Switch isn't going to remain #1 in the US for very long; maybe through April, but that's about it. Zelda hype won't sell the console forever, and the ports that it's getting between now and the release of Mario Odyssey won't have much effect.
Nintendo's latest device launched with the most hyped Nintendo game of the last decade. No surprise it won this month. Compared to PS4 though, it's launch sales are pretty weak. The long run will be the real determining factor of success.
People who are being so quick to assume Sony messed, just because of Scorpio's specs, fail to see the bigger picture. Sony has the price advantage, and potentially the advantage of marketing rights to all major third party games releasing this year: Destiny 2, CoD, RDR2, and Battlefront 2. Sure these games will look and run much better on Scorpio, but with things like DLC, bundling rights, and retail marketing (showing these games with only the PS logo in store), then you're still loo...
apparently they don't need games either lol
Also love how it sold more than both the Switch and Wii U versions of Zelda, combined.
For a brand new exclusive IP, those are extremely good numbers. It will sell 6 - 7 million LT copies at retail, easily. Well deserved too.
To be honest, I wasn't a big Warhawk fan. I could see why people enjoyed it, but I thought it was pretty boring.
Not a snowball's chance in hell.
MAG is still one of my top 5 favorite games of all time, and still one of the best multiplayer games ever made, imo. Starhawk and Resistance 1/2 were amazing MP titles as well. Sony took a lot of risks with the PS3 and seriously pushed the envelope. While I'm glad the PS4 has paid off a lot better for them, I'm still a little said that they're not taking as many risks as they did with PS3.
Hopefully since PS4 has already solidified itself as the top dog this ge...
Yeah, let's not make a pissing contest between ND and GG. I would say ND did attention to detail slightly better, but GG faced the challenge of open world. Both studios did an incredible job on their games, and both are amazing studios. No point in being dev fanboys here; they are both Playstation at the end of the day.
Another day, another developer denouncing the Switch. How anybody could possibly expect this thing to outsell the Wii is completely beyond me.
Halo Wars 1 did fine on 360. It sold over 2.6 million copies, so the niche title argument is irrelevant. To me it sounds more Xbox fans are trying to avoid something that MS themselves are terrified of with the fate of the Xbox brand; Halo is dying. They still put a lot of emphasis on it, but it's not even close to the powerhouse franchise that it used to. Neither is Gears for that matter.
No, because Destiny is a game where the player is always online. Last I checked, the Switch doesn't believe have any 4G LTE capabilities, and even I feel it did, can you imagine how insanely high the data rates would be? And that's assuming the signal would even be strong enough to maintain the game.
So basically a portable mode would be impossible without being attached to some seriously good wifi. Docked mode is a maybe if Bungie cared to give the game a graphica...
What a load to of bullshit. No buy for me.
And the thing is that none of it feels forced, like most games that are trying to appease the PC crowd. Several actual ancient cultures had a matriarchal system as well, where women were seen as better leaders because of their ability to bring life into the world, and the Nora were very reminiscent of those. The diversity of race actually made sense to the story, and no particular individual stood out like they designed as a certain race for some agenda. Everybody had a solid role and purpose...
Really just sounds like more pointless complaining from SJW snowflakes. If any game nailed diversity, it would be Horizon Zero Dawn.
It also had a lot to do with MS making a console that was very easy to develop for, while the cast of majority of third party devs were very outspoken is how much they hated the cell processor.
You don't have to pay for the DLC now on Xbone, if you want to wait. The only reason you would is if you buy one of the special editions that offers the season pass.
It is funny how Xbox fans are upset about something that they conveneniently ignored, or even bragged about, last gen. Sony is just playing Microsoft's game. Don't get all butthurt that they're beating them at it.
It only makes sense seeing as basically every multiplat this gen, even Tom Raider suprisingly, has sold much better on PS4.
PS4 launched in only 2 countries its first week, and sold over 1.2 million units launch day. Funny how people still think Switch stands a chance at dethroning PS4.
