If it's already in private beta, I seriously doubt it will be 2018. I'm calling July/ August timeframe.
Irrelevant. Neither NFS or Mario Kart are racing sims. In terms of racing sims, or in the case of Forza, Simcade, then GT is by and far the king. Point at the end of the day is that Forza is NOT the biggest racing franchise. Not even close.
@Sando It is truly crazy how well Killzone 2 & 3 hold up graphically to today's standards. Not to mention they were also extremely fun games overall.
That has nothing to do with my comment. The article blatantly tries to claim Forza is the biggest racing IP in the WORLD. It's not. Not even close. Hate to break it to people, but sales definitely play a huge part in an IP's claim to being the biggest in it's genre.
I'm willing to bet that GT Sport will outsell all Xbone Forza games, combined. The game is going to have massive appeal.
Numbers according to VGC:
Forza franchise: 25.75 million
GT franchise: 71.80 million
Even if you claim VGC numbers are off, it would be by very little, and you're still looking at 46 million unit gap. GT has literally sold almost 3 times as many copies, over the span of just as many games.
I don't think there's a single region where Forza is more popular than GT, let alone the world.
Maybe it's because I'm not much of a Sonic fan, but it looks like every other 3D on-rails Sonic game we've seen since the Dreamcast era. I agree, Sega should stop pussyfooting around and do Sonic Adventure 3. This constant copy and paste of Sonic is worse than what Nintendo is doing with Mario.
It still baffles me how so many out there can doubt and down Sony as a gaming company. Developers and publishers alike always have nothing but possitive things to say. Probably why they offer the most, the best, and most diverse exclusives out of the big three. Glad that PlayStation is my main platform for gaming.
Every console sells out at launch gents, and Switch was more likely to do so because it launched with the most anticipated and hyped Nintendo title in almost the last decade. How it does in the long run will be the real challenge for Nintendo. The current software lineup isn't insanely strong and could easily result in only support from the dwindling core Nintendo fan base, while casuals continue to play mobile games and core gamers continue to only play PS4/ Xbone/ PC.
It will be very interesting to see how well this sells. The software lineup still seems very underwhelming in the long run, and with it being unable to match vanilla Xbone hardware, it's third party support is doomed to be minuscule at best. Unfortunately, this isn't like the Wii days where you can trick the casuals with gimmicks; this device has to cater to everyone for it's message to get across.
Xbox, no. But it will be a long time before PS Now replaces PS consoles. For one, the service streams in 720p/ 30 FPS vs the native 1080 - 4K range on PS4/ Pro. It still has a lot of issues that need to be ironed out before it can really take off. Plus, the PS4 games are likely to be much older ones like Knack and inFamous. Sony's not stupid; they're not gonna release brand new PS4 titles on PS Now.
Definitely Guerilla's most successful
game by far.
I got the platinum a week after release. Hopefully I'll get this soon lol
Hmmm... I remember, when the PS4 rumors started popping up, devs were claiming the console would achieve graphics on the level that of James Cameron's Avatar. While PS4 has made some stellar pushes on the graphics front over its predecessor, it hasn't even been close to that film lol
Plus, photorealistic graphics sound nice and all, but can you imagine how long development times will be? I have confidence that Sony will pull through and still deliver a lot of good g...
That argument typically comes from the Xbox fanboy camp because the console hasn't even sold 75K units lifetime there, despite having been on the market for over 3 years.
It's even better knowing that it's tracking far ahead of PS3, dispite having the worst launch of any PS console there. Sony is making games for everyone, hence why it's doing amazing across the board.
Checkerboard 4K is a lot less stressful on hardware, plus it looks virtually identical to native 4K. It'll do the job just fine until PS5.
Are you kidding? I see people bragging about Zelda's metascore over Horizon on just about every Horizon article that gets a good amount of degrees. Nintendrones are excited because it's the first Nintendo to receive high amounts of critical acclaim in years.
I don't see how streaming games is putting them on PC. You can't play the games natively on the hardware; you have to buy a PS Now subscription as well as a DS4 controller and adapter. You're basically getting a 720p/ 30 FPS version of the PS4 game. I'm sure the resolution is going to go up over time as the service becomes more widely used, but the superior experience of these games is going to be on PS4/ PS4 Pro. Either way, it should be a good money maker for Sony when the s...
I love how you Nintendrones automatically try to push this back onto PS4 users and Horizon. It's like you actually believe nobody could possibly have a negative opinion of Zelda unless they're a biased PS4/ Horizon-loving fanboy, who's opinion can't possibly be relevant. Sounds to me like you're the insecure ones here lol
So Horizon, Uncharted 4, BloodBorne, inFamous, God of War, Days Gone, and Spider Man don't look insanely good? Best looking games on console, that's for sure.
