I guess, but I managed to beat the game on Crushing, and I don't remember the grenades being a huge problem. Their accuracy, and how often it felt like the game threw you into a spot surrounded by enemies and little cover, were seriously messed up at times.
The strike from above mechanic worked perfectly to me, and that's a very difficult thing to pull off.
Also, I'm 99% sure the game did have counter attacks; there just wasn't any button prompts for them like in previous games.
The grenade throwback thing is meh.
They don't, but they shouldn't be a fraction of the power of 3+ year old consoles, offer far fewer features, and still somehow be more expensive, either. I'm actually kindof enjoying MK8 on my Switch, but after exploring the home screen a bit, there's literally nothing to this system besides games and some very basic settings; it feels even more barebones than the Wii U did, and the online functionality isn't even on par with PS3.
Also, if they're e...
I wouldn't say it was unfairly hated. By no means was it a bad game; it just lacked so much content that the $60 price was way overboard. The franchise still has a crap ton of potential; it just needs a much larger and more competent developer so that the game can actually have more gameplay than cutscenes, as well competitive/ coop multiplayer. Ready At Dawn is a good developer, but they were in way over their heads when they thought they could do this with just 100 people.
CoD doesn't need saving; it just needs Activision to realize that if they have 3 different teams working on it, then there's no reason for all 3 to be making the same exact game. Have them work in different eras, experiment a little bit, and just try things that are new to the franchise. Bring back stuff like actual vehicles, etc.
New IP from From would be nice, but BB2 is more than welcome.
Sony knows what they're doing, and they know that their press conference this year will definitely turn some heads. They don't need to generate pre-E3 hype because there's a storm coming from SCE, and all the haters are terrified lol
@Neon They'll push PS4's because Sony has the marketing rights, more people will buy them on PS4 than other platforms, and people who don't have a PS4/ Xbone will be more likely to buy a PS4 for those games than other platforms. It's just how sales work. This is nothing new.
@Indy. Read your sources better kid. The 2.1 million PS4 sales was November 2013 NPD, i.e. US sales only. The 2.7 million Switch sales were worldwide. Also keep in mind that Switch launc...
While MS is like "B-b-but Scorpio!", Sony is just standing there casually like "sit down junior and hold my beer. You gon' learn today."
Or voice chat in multiplayer :/
Hmm... I don't some games to get for my Switch besides MK8. Maybe this..
Never said it wouldn't, but it definitely won't move nearly as many Switch's as Destiny 2, Battlefront 2, CoD WW2, RDR2, and possibly God of War/ Days Gone will move PS4's.
In what regard? Sales? Then third party on PS4 easily. Hate to be that guy, but CoD, Destiny 2, BF2, and RDR 2 are going to be much hotter on gamer's radars than Mario Odyssey. Nintendo might have some other surprises to release before the end of the year, but it will still pale in comparison. Also, wait until after E3 before you start assuming Sony will have no exclusives to release over the holidays.
Yeah, I mean ~3 million is totally more than 60+ million. You do realize that Switch isn't even tracking close to PS4 in aligned launches don't you?
Oh wait, you're a Nintendrone. Facts hurt you.
The device is still in its launch phase, and these are the weaker sales months of PS4/ Xbone. It just barely won this NPD, so no doubt PS4 will take the May NPD, and most likely every month after this for the rest of the year. With all the major third party releases this holiday, most of which Switch won't be seeing, it's going to be a slaughterhouse for the device starting in September.
Artificial demand is real with Switch :/
I got lucky and picked one up at Best Buy right after they were done unloading their truck. They literally only got in 4. Can't imagine other retailers are that different.
So you're basically defending Nintendo for intentionally not producing enough units?
Well the studio was expanded to more than double in size. I would imagine a lot of those staff came from other Sony studios.
Show us a game on console, specifically Xbox, that had this many zombies on screen.
I remember many people were predicting that China would be MS's big break for the Xbone on the sales front, since it launched there several months before PS4. Really seems like MS has long since abandoned that market as well, whereas Sony is making progress there. Congrats to Sony. Hopefully their presence there will grow stronger in the years to come.
