Yeah, because MS has had a great track record of keeping their promises this gen... Smh. -_-
Scorpio only has 8 GB of RAM for games. What other number were they supposed to use?
Also, contrary to popular belief, the PS4's RAM amount reserved for the OS capped out at only 1 GB. That's why Sony added the extra GB of DDR3 RAM to the Pro to take over all OS functions, while the full 8 GB of GDDR5 remains exclusively for games. PS4 OS isn't your conventional OS.
@S2 I guess people weren't anticipating the 8th gen would be that big of a hardware jump over 7th, and were expecting phones to quickly catch up. By the time there's an affordable phone or tablet that's even close base PS4 hardware, PS5 will probably be a few years into its lifecycle.
That's wild and wonderful if true. People were anticipating this console gen was doomed thanks to mobile gaming, but console gaming seems to be healthier than ever. My backlog on PS4 is so friggin massive right now
Maybe. I still felt like the pacing was good, there was plenty of Kong, and the whole "Moby Dick" style story between that Colonel and Kong was pretty cool.
A lot of people, particularly those within the film industry, like to claim video games are not an art form. Its actually been a pretty big topic of debate for many years now.
I personally enjoyed it. Thought Kong's new design was both very modern and in line with the original. Can't wait for the Godzilla vs Kong remake.
Well, this man made awesome movie, so I'll certainly take his word for it.
@Neon Keep in mind this poll in strictly for the US. The US is Xbone's strongest market, and the sales ratio between it and PS4 isn't that far off from this; in fact it might even be smaller. We already know that outside NA, Scorpio will make no difference.
As of January 1st, EA claims 79 million consoles sold between the two, which means 53.4 million for PS4, and 25.6 million for Xbone. PS4 has officially outsold Xbone by more than 2:1, and if Sony meets their 78 million mark for FY2017, this prediction by EA should be a lot higher.
I'm really starting to think lifetime sales for both will be PS4: 125+ million, Xbone: 50 - 55 million. Interesting break up.
I remember this game getting hyped up, watched the original footage, and it just looks awful... I like the idea, as Orwellian settings in books like 1984 and Brave New World is still an amazing concept, but this game looks like a PS2 could have run it.
It won't even hold a candle to Sony's showing, that's for sure.
They kindof deserve it. Microsoft as a whole is an incredibly shady company; they didn't get to where they are by constantly producing top quality products on their own.
Supposedly yes
When the hell did Knack come out on PS3? lol
Knack really wasn't a bad game, or even mediocre as far as classic platformers go. It ran very well, had pretty good graphics, and the gameplay (while simple) was solid enough. I guess people were expecting it to redefine the genre, but it's not fair to call it bad because it didn't.
I don't want them to do bad; I just know Sony is going to do better. Much better.
The thing has a name; it was PolyStation.
It really is too bad Nintendo screwed Sony over and partnered with Philips instead to create that failed CD-I. Playstation has done excellent on its own, but it would very interesting to see where the industry would be had this partnership gone through.
I hope so. The game looks pretty good.
