Everything you said is literally applicable to PS4 UI. I don't have to go anywhere if the first thing I want to do on my PS4 is play a game; the system literally highlights the Last game/ app I used. For pictures, you simply go to your media player. If pushing 1 or 2 buttons more to see a picture is really skin off your nose, I don't know how you have the mental capacity to play any game more complex than Cookie Clicker.

Yeah, but by your logic, the jump from 360 to Scorpio isn't significant either. The power gap between the 7th and 8th gen PS consoles is far larger than you realize. Games like Uncharted 4 and especially Horizon: ZD prove that. It's been a bit coming, but the games we'll be seeing on PS4 in the future will absolutely annihilate the best that PS3 ever did.

Meh. I'm far too invested into PSN to ever buy multiplats on a non-PlayStation platform. It's exclusives or bust for me, and Xbone has been really dry on those. I've noticed that a lot of Xbox and Nintendo fans have been trying to project a sense of fear on Sony, but I don't think that's even close to being the case. Sony is basically for the next couple years in terms of strong exclusive and third party game releases. E3 will likely prove their situation to be even stronger. I don't think what their competition is doing right now will have any effect on their course.

It's pretty interesting that the OP forgot about GTA IV, Fallout 3, and Skyrim from last gen where those games literally got DLC a year earlier on 360. We do know it managed to sell over 200K consoles in its first 2 months there. I would assume maybe around 1.5 million now? If Sony is putting this much effort into the market, I imagine it could easily be even more.
I have never played a Far Cry game, nor do I have any interests in this one. It does seem to be following the "white guilt" trend, but I can only get that from the picture, since I don't actually know. A lot of these weird liberal trends were stale before they even started.
