Well yeah. When your console isn't getting new games, it's good to have that little convenience, especially if you were dumb enough to sell your last gen console, or never had one.
Mario isn't going to push nearly as much hardware as CoD WW2, Destiny 2, BF2, ACO, Middle Eath SoW, etc.. FIFA is already confirmed to come with less graphics and no FB3 support. Switch's crap third party support is the Wii U all over again, and that's gonna hurt it bad.
If this is accurate, then the point about launch hype + Zelda hype is accurate; it had a strong launch, but it's already rapidly falling behind the DS, Wii, and PS4. Doesn't look like it's high sales are going to last much longer. God help this thing once the holiday third party titles roll around.
It did launch with Zelda though. That more than made up for it.

People really are overestimating a 30% power difference. Scorpio is about 6 months of hardware improvement from PS4. It doesn't even have more gigs of RAM for games

They stated it's development is very close to being finished a while ago. Might not release this year, but definitely no later than March
You'll get one for sure. Any games present at last year's E3, that are also at this year's, are basically guaranteed to get release date announcements.
