Scalpers suck, but it's 100% legal. :/
Honestly, the Plus discounts, on top of all the flash sales, more than make up for the usually less-than-stellar free games offering. People need to remember that gaming has become a far more expensive industry, and as such business practices will remain. These companies will do what they can to spice up their hardware and services to attract more consumers, but they're not a charity.
There's a difference between providing constructive criticism through saying "here's what we think they can do to make it better", and "the service needs saving". The latter implies that the service is somehow dying and only knowledgeable gaming journalists can come up with ideas to revive it.
God forbid the 6 free games you get each month, 72 per year, aren't all major AAA titles that you personally want...
Here's a thought; actually buy the games if you want something specific.
PS Now needs to stick around. Someday, game streaming will become a major tool for gaming, in the same way that Netflix and Hulu have become tools for watching movies/ shows. It's best that Sony sticks with it and works out the kinks now so that it can become something great. Really, the biggest issue is on the consumer side, where internet speeds simply don't match the required speeds for PS Now. Hopefully that can change as well.
If I'm not mistaken, it grew 21% in only 6 months. Clearly something's working given how much money Playstation division is making. I don't think it needs saving :/
Once again, that's probably their ending for PSX. It just doesn't seem likely for E3.
I keep hearing about a HZD expansion, but I doubt it's gonna be brought up so soon. I think PSX will be the place for that. Also, I doubt TLoU2 will be there; too much other content, and Sony still has to have room for some other new Titles like SP's, FS's, and maybe another Resistance/ PSAS.
I was hoping for TLoU2 gameplay, but I don't think it's happening; there's just way too much for Sony to show off as is, plus there's always PSX. The other 4 on this list, I believe, are a given, but replace TLoU2 with From Software's new IP, and the list is more realistic. I have zero doubts in my mind that Miyazaki's next game will WoW people just like BloodBorne did.
They're not going to "come out on top". I don't know why these attention-whore sites keep making these stupid lists. The best MS can hope for is that Scorpio doesn't get totally ignored, and enough devs are willing to put effort into it. God knows this gen has already shown their exclusives front to be hopeless.
I'm already very bored of mine. The seamless console-portable transition is great, but the games library is still limited (fairly so, but I still haven't used it for anything except for when I'm extremely bored enough to play some Mario Kart). Sadly, there's nothing else the device can do to keep my attention, so until more games come out, it's collecting dust with the Xbone :/
It's not bad, just very lackluster, meaning it's lacks so many features in my opinion that I feel like have kindof become necessary for any modern platform. PS4 is clean too, but it offers so much more and even acts as a great central hub for a lot of things on top of gaming.
Keep in mind that Wii U had all of those IP's, and still sold very poorly.
Sadly no. I have one, but with its very lackluster UI, I cannot see myself buying anything for it besides the occasional core Nintendo title. PS4 will remain my primary platform, but that's fine by me.
It's going to do well if Nintendo kills off the 3DS and devotes all game development to the Switch; i.e. no more dedicated handhelds. With Switch, there's no need for another DS anyways. It won't do nearly as well as PS4 in the long run, but it'll still do well. I don't see it selling 100 million without strong third party support, though. I'm guessing around 75 million
Sony is bringing the pain. They're about to drop some serious bombs on the competition.
It was probably going to do it anyway. Horizon is an amazing game that deserves its share of awards, but it had some actual competition; Zelda just has to be slightly better than the last one, and it's guaranteed boat loads of praise.
It was because Sony didn't quit. They probably took one of the worst hits of any company in gaming history, yet they refused to throw in the towel. That's why PlayStation has the loyal fans it does: because we know no matter what, that console will always live up to true quality.
If Sony announces BloodBorne 2 on top of showing gameplay for the game's they've already announced, then there won't even be a comparison; they'll have beat the competition by a mile.
That's why I'm glad Playstation is my console of choice; Sony never pulls this "artificial demand" crap; they want their product in as many hands as possible so it can be enjoyed by the masses. Nintendo just wants to trick people into thinking they're still relevant lol
