Why is it always a contest? One that is, in the end, HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE. Between two games in two different genres no less!

Gaming journalism... proof they have nothing competent or worthwhile to write about.

Don't fall for this crap. Coexistence is a great thing. It's okay to... gasp, enjoy and love both!

I doubt it will pass, at least not this year. Why give the people something free that they willingly pay for?

Ah gaming "journalism."

Until we play it, we won't know, now will we? So why ask?

There are some smart people around. Death and Meus Renaissance are definitely great posters. It's just unfortunate that corporate cheerleading like this gets more attention than articles that matter (such as the used game trade and how its helping/hurting the industry).

Epic are king of the bullshot.

Kotaku are idiots. Nothing new here.

I mean, its a fact MGS4 took place ONLY in the Middle East.

Right?

..........right?

And this right here shows why I respect Death and Meus. Because they are gamers with actual brains!

6278d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Nope. It's a fanboy pissing match here, a great idea for a site ruined by lax standards, no mods, and truly horrendous posters.

I see no discussion about how this is good for the industry. I see MS gloating in their pathetic fashion, ignoring Nintendo and slamming Sony. So of course, the internet cheerleaders follow suit, and "Sony sux lulz" instead of "thank god that recession isn't hitting out hobby as much as the rest of the world."

But hey, if...

Butterfinger...

They need to give their internet cheerleaders fodder to talk about, since few if any from the Xbox camp want to discuss the fun or critical aspects of the actual games. Remember, the NXE is more important than Fable 2's merits as a piece of entertainment. If you can find me an Xbox fan that can discuss the merits of a game and not toss numbers at me, especially on this site, I'll be dumbfounded.

This is good for the industry however. It shows the ...

Who would have thought the RPG machine of 2008 would be the PS2?

Game "critics" can't even figure out how to make a review system that doesn't work on arbitrary, arcane review scores... and you expect them to understand innovation?

Please.

ROFLCOPTER.

Article is fail.

6279d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Or you can look at it that you got two games for $80.

It's this flawed mentality that allows this system to thrive.

You didn't get two games for $80. You sold one game back. That game is gone. You can't play it again if you want to, its no longer yours. You now end up with, yup, one game.

It's a glorified rental service with exorbitant pricing.

Hey Square, maybe if focused on one thing at a time, instead of a million rehashes, remakes, and ports, you might have released FFXIII already!

No, that's just crazy talk. Instead you had to license the U3 engine, which you clearly have no clue how to use, and decide to waste gamers time with subpar RPGs.

GG SE! Thanks!

MS doesn't buy quality dev teams. It only kills them.

Nevermind. Gragh!

So does that mean I need to listen to pro MS bullsh1t from Viacom companies, CNET and Yahoo too now?

Nice. Just label it "Micronet" already and be done with it.

I feel the technical bravado of GTAIV is quickly overshadowing the substance of gameplay that is really missing, substance apparent in the previous iterations of the title. I've replayed San Andreas many times... GTAIV lacks that special magic in my opinion.

I agree with you, on absolutely everything you said. Frankly, I'm disgusted, by this site and by what "gamers" have become.

I just can't understand why it has to be one or the other. Why can't people realize you can like more than one thing, be it console, franchise, whatever?

I'll say it plain and simple. 90% of "gamers" out there today appear to be fools. Pure, simple, unadulterated fools. They place sales above their own fun factor. They shoot ...

The great thing is, I'd rather have LBP to play, then have companies continue their streak of homogenizing, casualizing, and throwing out subpar sequels year after year. We need balance between new IPs and companies taking chances, and the companies who are all about profits and throwing out the next easy sequel (HEY THERE ACTIVISION! MILK GH ENOUGH YET?!)

I don't work for Sony, MS, or Nintendo. Neither do any of you I'd wager. This preoccupation with sales numbers is a pathetic,...
