Firing him over his OPINION is pure bull crap first off. Especially if the pressure is coming from advertising/publishers. That's just a joke. I may not agree with Gamespot's reviews, but they are entitled to their OPINIONS. This only goes to show how much the media is controlled by $$$ and how fair reviews basically don't exist. Unless you really think Halo 3 earned all those perfect scores 100% on its own....
Indeed, all I ask is that the review BODY equals the review SCORE.
Example -
Bioshock = 10 hour game/no multiplayer/great fun = AAA
Uncharted = 10 hour game/no multiplayer/great fun = zomg nother phaled exclusive, 7.5!
Of course, that's a simplification, but the bias and hate from reviewers, and the lack of standards in most gaming journalism is just being more and more evident to me the older I get and the more I look at gaming as a career ...
And it gets an 8? Explain! Great visuals, great balancing, speed, and fun. Tons of modes (I swear by Assault and Onslaught) and a great mod community. And it gets an 8? *sigh* They should have just named it Unreal Haloment 4.
Reviews today have just been proving to me how... poor gaming "journalism" has become.
I love people who bash gaming as a HOBBY and think its a total waste of time, but spend all their time watching random athletes being paid 10's of millions of dollars to run up and down a field for 4 hours.

I honestly wouldn't bother dude. I tested one out for a week and promptly returned it. The construction is shoddy, the buttons unresponsive, and frankly many console FPS games just aren't made for mouse support. You basically have to choose between being able to aim well, or being able to pull a 180 degree turn. Try drawing a circle with the mouse and you end up with a hexagon.
Your mileage may vary, but as a longtime PC/Console FPS player, I was sorely disappointed. Don't wast...
Actually that was in Zanzibar Land. Outer Heaven was destroyed by Snake 4 years prior to that. The other location is Shadow Moses from MGS1, its already been seen in the trailer.

What is there to be pissed about? An excellent and talented developer putting out a title in a series known for amazing visuals and platforming gameplay (which you have to admit is kind of dead lately). What's wrong with that? Because the characters are "cutesy?" The humor in the R&C games has definitely be great. Remember, it took the 360 a year to get its big titles. A good game is a good game, period.

Both of those shots are from Curse of the Black Pearl. Released to consumers, I do believe, on May 22nd of this year on BluRay. Can someone then please tell me why we are just finding out about this NOW, and not 3 months ago? Anyone? Anyone? SOMEONE?

Even if HD-DVD were to "win" and BluRay disappear, there would still be two formats. DVD and HD-DVD. These HD formats really do supplement DVD, they won't be replacing it in any meaningful way anytime soon. And I do believe the BDA is offering help with manufacturing, so the age old argument of "remaking" every plant doesn't hold up. Again, shouldn't we worry about ourselves first and not the companies taking our money? BluRay as a format, unrelated to anything corporate, ...
I hate this format war crap as a CONSUMER, but what? The obvious choice for... why? BluRay has more space. BluRay has better anti-piracy measures. BluRay has more studio support. BluRay has better sales. They had to BRIBE these companies to support a losing format. The fact that I can't watch both Die Hard in HD and Transformers in HD on one player only makes me want to stick with DVD for even longer.

And yet, they left off how many PS3 exclusives? Heavenly Sword. Uncharted. Ratchet and Clank. WARHAWK. The beta alone proved to me what a kickass game that was. Both systems have some great exclusives coming this fall/winter.
And yet Kojima confirms MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive time and time again... but the Xbots wont quit.
I don't think that's possible, as Incognito is a part of SCEA.
How is this news? This is nothing but a wishlist it seems. Sure, anything is possible, but I want Kojima to be allowed to take some time off and work on OTHER things. MGS4 needs to end this storyline. Come back to MGS in like 8 years with a fresh story/universe and new characters, don't go all DBGT on us and ruin a good thing Konami. Let Kojima go work on Snatcher or some NEW titles!

It's been out for a whole year. I'm getting really sick of the console wars this gen. Yeah, most titles are being made for the 360 first, but that doesn't include Haze, Burnout Paradise, DMC4, Mercs 2 and MGS4 (if its ever ported). Everyone has stated that its easier to go PS3 to 360 as opposed to 360 to PS3, but since the 360 was out sooner, more projects have begun life there. I really don't see how his statements though have anything to do with ease of development, its just another stupid ...
I'm really excited for this game. It's one both next gen system owners can enjoy. I love how it has online co-op, but local co-op would have been nice as well. Oh well, as long as it has voice chat on the PS3 edition, I'm set.
I could say the same thing about 360 owners whining until FFXIII and MGS4 get the multiplatform treatment, but then I'd be no better than you, and fanboys are the reason I left Gamefaqs. Capcom has stated they are going multiplatform in the future, so I don't see what the issue/problem is with PS3 owners wanting to play it as well? If it DOESN'T go multi, then that only strengthens the argument that the statements following DMC4 were complete BS.
