Microsoft have been saying all along that theirs is the balanced console...

@zod18 "anymore" - since when were they ever credible? They've been a joke from inception.
Oh the GIFs that will come of this...
Free to PS+ gives them their audience (practically every ps4 user - millions!) but later on (as soon as first month) there's extra content that you can choose to pay for such as game modes, levels, ships, other unannounced but apparently very interesting stuff.
Indeed. I think that's the intention. Some people above are taking things a bit too seriously.
N4G is fantastic for the latest news and rumours and along with that the banter that comes with the comments - that's what makes it for me. It'd be a bit sterile and boring it it were merely some highbrow intellectual debating society of polite and courteous old windbags.
Gamers, casuals, fanboys, hell even the trolls - bring them all, it makes it more i...
@Septic You're not seen as an xbox defender, just an apologist. That's OK ;-)
@enemy "I wonder if this is what CBOAT meant when he said 720p was only the beginning. NDA is preventing him for further commenting."
PXG "Imagine if online authentication was deactivated at the OS level, but was still possible from game to game."
cboat reply: "imagn."

@sadist oh, you mean #DealWithIt? OK...
smh
A few words of advice - you don't get much more free time than you have right now once you're out in the big wide world ;-) But you're making the right decision to concentrate on what's important.
Aren't your kids actually going to want some Kinect games to play for the new system? Not seen much sign of those so far considering the development cost of the hardware and the fact that it's in every box...
You only need to throw money at something that needs selling. ps4 sells itself. Hype generated by users and simple tweets does more than 30 second commercials on TV... one is thrust in front of an audience off taking a leak or brewing a cup of tea, the other is actively sought out by users and brought to the attention of others by friends and associates... it costs far less and is far more effective. All because the product has that ineffable appeal.
and unfortunately that video was edited, not a single take, so compare that with the 3rd party videos and...
MS haven't been way more honest and upfront - their videos have both been under strict environmental conditions and subject to editing (and where there has been no editing in 3rd party videos, there have been issues).
Judge how well their efforts have been when the system goes live and 1000s of users are taking part in real life conditions. See how it actually performs in a modern family living environment and not some sterile lab at Redmond. See how realtime video shows ...
Pre-order a free game and get extra goodies? Can't say no to that!
"I’ve never played a Disgaea game before this one... I'm just a fan of SRPGs"
The two don't seem to add up, reviewer really needs to go play the others.
"It also didn’t help that I noticed four decimal places, leading up to a maximum level of 1,000."
Ummm... ok, 1000... if there's one thing Disgaea is known for it's levelling to 9999. And then that's only a fraction of truly levelling your characters. ...
I had this last night (not used my Vita for a few weeks). I'd almost given up when I tried to launch a game and the new terms of service came up, I skimmed through and agreed to them and then everything was back to normal after it rebooted. Had a few connection issues on ps3 at the time as well, just thought it was some pre-ps4 PSN maintenance, so didn't think anything more of it.
@MajorAly "Since Major Nelson now has given his word officially..."
Yeah, 'cause the Major's word is bond. lol.
@aiBreeze "Microsoft causes controversy and Sony can't resist coming out and reminding everyone that they wouldn't do that."
Sony didn't come out and do anything - Yoshida was asked a direct question and replied only "no"
And what does that have to do with the programmers who are working on the graphics engine, the effects, the UI etc? Nothing. Different staff for different jobs. Turn 10 isn't a few guys in a back room somewhere deciding which hat to wear in the morning... "umm, today I'll be the online infrastructure coder guy... or maybe I'll do some work on the gfx engine.. .or maybe I'll fine-tune that UI..."
Doesn't. Work. Like. That.

Oh that's a future update? I thought that was day 1... that's not so good, just another feature on the list of things to come "ONE day"...
