It's probably for future use as part of the "every xbox is a dev/debug console" feature. Still, you're right, it shouldn't be this easy for anyone to access right now and end up bricked... surely it should be something that only those with the correct credentials are given access to rather than something sub-Konami Code.
@Jepedillo "It works fine with HMDI-cable and many games."
USB cable? ;-)
Unfortunately, not only is it not a system seller, it's not even selling sufficient units to the installed userbase. The reception in Japan has been lukewarm at best, 140,000 sold so far seems very disappointing for a Mario game of any description.
First time I saw those huge waves on the ps4 game... wow... and this is just cross-gen, multi platform stuff... what the hell are we in for in the coming years?!
As for ps4 availability, not looking good for finding one for my nephews in time for xmas ;? Should have kept both pre-orders I made.
I've gone with Vita headset, has mic mute, perfect!
Now that really tickled me, good one ;-)
Actually, if you read the article, he admitted he saw the word "photo" and was sceptical but still went ahead and threw his money at it. That's not so bright.
In UK, shopto.net are guaranteeing for xmas, cheapest SKU is KZ:SF hard bundle at £400. http://www.shopto.net/
The stream was both a shambles and lacked anything interested reveal-wise (it also lacked audio for quite some time!).
Some of the people they interviewed in the queue weren't exactly the brightest of buttons, but the odd guy such as the Disgaea/Dragons Crown Vita fan restored my faith in the gaming public :D
Thankful for the amazing new hardware, the truly exceptional new software for our aging consoles giving experiences I never imagined with such hardware and therefore the promise of even better games just around the corner as the real next generation titles appear.
Also, my Vita is thankful for Tearaway, a game that makes me smile as I did back playing PS one games and at the same time couldn't exist in the same form on any other platform.
I am thankful fo...
What's your home town? Tesco Express also has 150 midnight launch shops: http://www.tesco.com/store-...
And let there be a 6th and a 7th. Shameful.
Maybe things will change with Sony opening up digital sales to Amazon and who knows who else? Not counting on it though...
It was a good one, especially the Megatron bit.
"Orbital F***ing Missile Weapon?!"
I hate Microsoft because.
Polygon staff's only preference is increasing the girth of their wallets...
Shame. On. Them.
It also says as much about other "next gen" machines that can't live with it...
so it seems those rumours a few months back saying the ps4 port took 3 weeks to get up and running at up to 90fps might well have had more to them than some people thought.
@ invenio "This "Microsoft shouldn't give people options" business is the same mentality that forces companies to put DO NOT DRINK on a bottle of antifreeze. "
These aren't "options for people". The deal where every xbox one can be a test unit thing isn't for *everyone*, people will have to be approved and allowed access, it's not going to be a free-for-all. This is where the functionality should be revealed, when the end used has...
