If you guys want to disagree, that's fine with me. But take note that this game coming out for the x360 was once thought to be a "definite impossibility". Which was been proven wrong. That's also why I said that I could be wrong myself. Nobody here has their hands in Squeenix's pockets.

Nobody is arguing that Blu Ray looks good. It's just that nobody needs it. 1080p to see actors begin to show there age (eg, more detail in the skin) doesn't sound like my cup of tea, and many others would agree. Maybe seeing that sex scene with Heather Graham in Adrift in Manhattan might be worth it...:)

And with that said, 1080p porn might take off. Because let's face it...it DRIVES the internet! But it won't make you happy! Well, not for longer than 15 minutes.

Not at all, it helps gaming reach beyond the stereotypes. If there's anything we need more of, it's diversity. Gaming should be fun. And for everyone!

It's hard to be original when it comes to stuff like story. Good versus evil. Blood and gore. That's it...well besides maybe chicks and boobies. And that hasn't done too well in gaming, so it's always back to Good versus evil. And blood and gore. And...chicks and boobies.

And it's sad really. This was one the games that I REALLY wanted this year (in its bigger console version)and for some reason still do. It just had epic written all over it. But after that horrible demo, I'm just putting the cash in the wallet.

Microsoft is slowly gaining its stride in Japan. PlayStation will always sell more, but there is room (no pun intended) for x360. I think it has more to do with Squeenix's fear of confronting the fanboy market and challenging PlayStation aficionados with such an announcement. They're doing the wise thing right now, with just making known their intentions in NA and EU.

I think most likely it'll happen, but I could be very wrong. Hopefully x360 won't be minus this game in Japan, as...

I don't see how the Arcade x360 would hinder the entire lot. If you mean that it doesn't have an HDD, it could be as simple as seeing a greyed out option to install the game, plain and simple. Developers can still build their games according to the Premium specs, as all that will be different is loading times. I agree with DJ that "you've already paid $60 for the game..." but even he doesn't get it. It's all completely optional. Microsoft didn't just stop with accessories and option...

I still load up Chaos Theory every now and then on my PC. Great graphics, even today (although the models for people do look old). And Double Agent had some interesting game play. I loved those little VR missions-esque introductory levels.

Also, to me Splinter Cell was a better simulation of espionage action since it really put an emphasis on AI. The MGS series was always more about entertainment and Easter eggs than pure strategy, and for that MGS will always have the appeal to...

Made me laugh! Someone out there please get this game on the market! We need a rope bondage game, as well as other "controversial" Japanese subjects.

any HDMI cable will work on x360. there's nothing proprietary involved unless you use the x360 AV connector. that was the port all x360s started with. but that's just like ps2/ps1(newer)/n64/saturn/drea mcast and all other consoles. the connector to the CONSOLE was always proprietary. but not so much now, thanx to hdmi.

funny, the original PSx model had standard RCA cables (red white and yellow) on BOTH ends!

Well, they let go of a really great console that I was actually modding several of at the time for friends (media center stuff and HDDs). They all liked it and they knew that Xbox had great games. I liked the fact that it was so PC. But I'm glad they moved on. It's like the kid on the Soccer field laying in the grass after he just his ass handed to him. Coach yells "Get UP!" and he's got to get back in the game. Microsoft could have just bowed out of the race entirely, as in not bot...

the socom bundle. tell ya what, if they do that i might get a ps3. i just want them to start bundling hdmi cables, since i can easily return any console if i don't like it but bestbuy won't take back opened cables ;)

you obviously mistook what i said

"whereas Vista has fully supported it from its introduction"

when i said ITS, who was i talking about? i wasn't talking about Vista. i was talking about blu ray drives.

and at meepmoopmeep

"the hardware for Blu Ray/HD DVD video/audio decoding has existed in the PC world for about 3 years now"

meaning graphics and sound processors designed to decode h264/vc-1 as well as the H...

why disagree if all i said was that i like x360 better?

it's not like i said that the RSX is a poor excuse for a GPU ;)

or

that ps3s aren't HD out of the box, you still need an hdmi cable ;)

or that ps3s memory seriously lacks the flexibility afforded by 360s unified 512MB GDDR3 plus 10MB EDRAM approach, and as such will never utilize more/better textures than can fit in its 256mb of GDDR3 ;)

(and no, RSX does't have access to t...

Blu Ray has been supported on PCs since the first PC drive models came out. Apple is just now adding support to its MAC OS X line, whereas Vista has fully supported it from its introduction. Also, the hardware for Blu Ray/HD DVD video/audio decoding has existed in the PC world for about 3 years now.

"You have to hop on this train, before it leaves the station"

"...alright, let's go!"

(you miss the train...how do you deal with that)

"-whew- I just jogged 20 miles on foot."

in game time, this would equate to THE MOST BORING SEGMENT of the game!

no harm meant, just thought this was a funny little scenario

also, what happens when you die? do you go into a spectator mode and wait to res...

well, the elite comes with not only an hdmi cable, but also the component HD/composite SD hybrid cables. it even comes with a special cable for people in special situations (audio pass through from old x360 connector). even the premium x360 comes with at least the hybrid cables.

i though that was the whole point of being ready "right out of the box"

great job sony. pack in every feature BUT the cable, whose idea was that?

When did human being need HD gaming to survive, because that's EXACTLY what goes on with EVERYTHING.

Yeah, you PS3 fanboys like to lash out about Microsoft but I don't see NPO anywhere is Sony's history either.

It seems that people can't move on past the hardware. RRoD doesn't even exist anymore, and not having all of those extra features is why I like x360 better.
