Damn, this game is stirring up quite a buzz! I'll have to pick it up then. Good thing games like this DO exist. That they can pop up with no hopes, no hype and just all of a sudden dominate the reviews. Gives hope that there is still more to come.
Didn't he kiss someone's ass?
Politics...well, it's not like you can sway the 8-15 year old demographic of the wii to vote your way, so...
tomba and klonoa were the greatest. tomba 2 was so 3d platformer that i felt i was playing crash. but klonoa was pure fun.
A five hour maintenance? That's super fast!
There isn't any way to build an OS with the robustness of a Windows bred product AND the coolness factor of Vista/OS X without having it consume quite a bit of resources. There are only two ends to work with. You either upgrade the hardware or you tune the software. If you say build it leaner from the start, it will only get bigger from then on.
The number one problem is that a great majority of people don't really perform any sort of maintenance on their PCs. When they feel it's to...
You guys disagreed with me because I'm wrong, or because you hate Vista?
Because the logic I applied there believe it or not applies to EVERYTHING in life. From the proposed increase in MacDonald's Dollar Menu to 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 and 2010 models of a single vehicle!
This is how companies ensure that there will be a reason to sit at the table at next month's meeting! They don't sit idle once they've released some new product. They get ...
DJ...you know better than to judge an OS by its resource consumption. Memory technologies evolve and then programs put it to good use. Memory sizes increase and then programs put it to good use. Graphics chips get more sophisticated and then programs put them to good use. Processors gain more versatility and then are put to good use. Nothing idle gets you anywhere.
If you want a system that runs less processes and starts up fewer programs, you can do that. You'll have the leanest...
Quoted from the article:
"Vista is slower and less compatible than XP"
should read:
"Vista ON OLD HARDWARE is slower"
Also, hardware loses its compatibility NOT because of Microsoft but because hardware manufacturers don't care to support their products through driver updates. That's what forces people to buy newer devices to get the functionality they were getting before. But, hey that's how they get you to buy the new h...
Yeah, it's not like MGS4 wasn't subHD either. Some of the best games this gen were subHD. Not like it matters, but you PS3 gamers need to lay off of the Halo3 dissing and sh*t. It's a great game and well worthy of its being in the same sentence as MGS4. Both made people buy their consoles. I still play Halo3 right now. Word of advice: just don't play on Legendary without help...seriously.
Good game. Sleeper hit? Definitely! I kinda feel like this is where Dark Sector was in 2005! Very outer space/Sci-Fi. Still, Dark Sector was pretty good.
Didn't Die Hard have a ton? But I think Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate StarFish" album had a track with like 29 or more.
I'll say this once more:
Xbox 360 Arcade was never meant for the hardcore gamer!
Someone who only wants an easy way into the era of HD Gaming won't be disappointed with Arcade's out of box experience (OOBE). With Arcade, you will be experiencing NXE minus the movie and media stuff. Just use Media Center if want movies on your console. I use it myself, for just about ANYTHING I want to stream to my living room.
Also, not having the 360 HDD will only matte...
I honestly don't see how how Assassin's Creed would be the prime candidate for over hype. Over hype is fine as long as they deliver. And it delivered pretty well! It's one of my favorite games.
I'm going to Jade's place and comfort her for a while, you guys made her cry!
(what a lady!)
Lists are a nice way of putting things together, but I just like to know about things as they progress.
Mass Effect will undoubtedly be one of 2009's major showings and I really can't wait for it. They did so many things right with the first ME, and I hope that they can do it again.
Ninja Blade and Bayonetta (however you spell it) will be two awesome action and hack n slash games.
Resident Evil 5 will show us what a company can do when they work with BOT...
Sure. But both are coming to x360 in 2009:)
I see an amazing showing by Sony supporters. TGS must've had a real impact with you guys:)
With Heavy Rain's emphasis on keeping the game world seamless and continuing with a particular session even after a failed mission, we should be seeing how gamers respond to a such a great concept.
So far, games have tried:
Conditional Progression: progress in the game goes according to meeting certain prerequisites. like "score 15000" or "defeat 35 ogres"
Linear Progression: usually involves unlocking doors to new rooms, or gates to ...
I played Lost Chapters on my PC. I'm actually glad I did, since it was one of the best rpgs I've ever played. I didn't get far in the game though. I was just so lost in it that all I ever did when I loaded it up was just go terrorize some villagers:) It's an incredibly deep game, with lots of replay value and some really great graphics. And the sound was truly defining for its time.
Relax, some of us just swing both ways. And don't you deny that you've ever thought about it:) lolz
But seriously, this shouldn't have been approved. Maybe we have some female gamers who have a thing for Cliff. But he isn't helping Gears2 any with this. Hopefully Epic didn't put this in their Marketing budget.
