I think you've pretty much run dry of things to hate x360 for. Great games, great hardware, great online service.

No, actually I think now you have things to be JEALOUS of.

I'm an x360 gamer anyway. I take it you disagreed because I sounded like I was supporting PSN? I was just trying to say that it's good to know that there's something being done to make their service more like Live. And yes, I already knew that this had nothing to do with Sony.

heh heh, right on!

so...you read the title, and not the article itself? wow, you must know it all already then!

could you image the loading times on that many layers? not pretty. also, dual layer dvd's are still a pinch pricier than single layer discs. in every developers eyes they want to see the game come out as cheap to make as possible. 100gb discs won't be used anytime this gen, i mean how many of those games would you be able to install to your 60GB hdd? 0.6? what if you have like 10 games that you want to see running off of your hdd?

It was so different back then. I used to be the kid who had all of the OPM demo discs. I collected them and let friends borrow them, and they used to think I was cool for letting them. I had subscriptions to PSM and OPM, but I stopped OPM right about when they shipped their first DVD PS2 demo disc (I had gotten completely out of gaming for the next couple of years).

One of my favorite demo discs also happens to be the very first one I ever collected: demo disc number 9. I don't...

Yeah it was a great time in history. Some really awesome titles came out, and it never stopped. I don't recall a drought in gaming during ANY of its years! Games just kept coming in. Although 1998 was probably the best year in PSX gaming history, with Gran Turismo Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid, Parasyte Eve, Brave Fencer Musashi, Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4 and many others.

PlayStation sure was a contender. Whoever missed out on it really ...

sweet! it's gamertag 2.0 and gamerscore 2.0. you have to give credit to sony for not leaving ps3 gamers behind, it's a great feature overall.

i never doubted that PSN would eventually catch up to Live. i mean, Sony doesn't let you slip an inch past them without being able to promise you a challenge you later on in the game. that's why PlayStation has staying power.

6334d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

it runs at a higher res on 360 than ps3? where's the whole 4d promise? if i can recall, it runs sub HD on PS3 and on 360 GTAIV runs not only in 720p but also has 2xAA.

please, explain. if you can't, then click disagree and just "dream" that the ps3 version looks better.

I think PS3 gamers just want to blow this whole thing of out proportion. If the game is on multiple discs for the pc version, why wouldn't it be okay for it to be multiple discs on the x360. How many of us have Blu Ray drives on our PCs?

Come this fall update you'd be able to install the game onto your HDD anyway (it's completely optional and supported through firmware), so what's the big deal?

if fanboys weren't such sore people. I think I've had enough of the fanboy sh*t tossing this site has become. If you guys feel this strong about superiority/inferiority then please marry these consoles.

Just know that neither console will mean beans in a few years. And that includes ps3 (you guys need to stop the God act). I think Sony looks at you guys and sees the green that you guys bringing into their pockets everyday. Nothing more.

Take a chill pill, people. Microsoft is showing their customers that they're gunning up. They're getting to business. This is what we x360 gamers expect them to be doing. PS3 gamers just want to insult Microsoft for everything they try. But the facts are that x360 has some amazing games in the works. I can get 30 disagrees and all it'll mean that someone disagreed with me. It won't change the fact that there are great games coming out the x360!

And never underestimate the power o...

Okay, right on! Didn't know that (I guess I never owned a TV that accepted 1080p over component HD cables).

My bad...just don't bring down the axe!

Well, working Maya kinda lends itself to OpenGL. I personally don't see a reason for their being a rivalry between the two. But people forget that Direct X handles more than just graphics. People need to be more objective and narrow it down to Direct 3D, the API that actually works with the graphics aspect. I love OpenGL and it really brings results to the screen.

It's easy to toss around numbers and hype. Direct X practically lived off of the promises that Microsoft made at each...

You're trolling. And complaining about a console you don't own. And...mentioning your girlfriend amidst all of it? I agree that's it's an overpriced accessory. You know what else was overpriced? A $600 launch 60GB PS3, with no HDMI cable AT ALL! Especially now that they've moved on to being $200 less in less than 2 years (though having Hardware BC might have been worth it).

x360 Elite comes with all cables. Even some that only people in special circumstances would need (audio pas...

I think it safe to say that both console's have their ups and downs. It really shouldn't be our job to overhype it or try to stay up hours on wikipedia searching for facts or benchmarks on it. That shows complete desperation. Everyone who owns a PS3 feels like they own a supercomputer, and vice versa. Good...great! But the facts are that they're pretty well evened out. What you could say about one game in each of their libraries, you could find a match for just as well in the others.

An issue long since dealt with. Get some new material. How about how WELL x360 has been doing, despite taking on such a huge brand name like Sony.

Have you worked with Forge yet? Because ANY gamer (on either side) would tell you that it's an amazing experience to be able to tweak your maps and then put them to test online! I'm not even trying to sound like a fanboy here, Halo3 SERIOUSLY broke some ground in online multiplayer. I mean, the only way to get something close to forge basically would have meant being a PC gamer (since they usually pack in level editors and whatnot with their games).

And Unreal 3 came out AFTER, ...

he's talking about a fictitious world. this "age" thing isn't real. you could say it's what MIGHT happen (private military companies?) if the world ever evolved like this. but in all honesty, it's a fictitious story based in real world events and locations.

sure, it's a great speech.

I got 6 six disagrees, and 3 people who actually cared to reply (thank you guys, bubbles, plus one off topic. Either I offended someone (not my intentions) or there are simply too many angry fanboys. I'd bet that they read only one word in my comment (360) and right away disagreed with the entire post.

Okay, maybe it has to do with how the only country I defended was America. I really can't tell you about the tastes and customs of anything else, so if I lack any of that knowledg...
