Yeah, but it has nothing to do with Sony. It's just the PlayStation brand. It sells way after its prime, and Sony doesn't have to be either the best console or the worst. It's just this gen that they've decided to be the most expensive console, and that has slightly hindered PS3's adoption. In any case, they've still been fortunate enough to have a brand that people trust. People still buy PlayStation even when something new comes out.
I have money in the bank, and credit worth gold. I can buy a console without having to return/sell/pawn what I already have. This kid will realize that people just buy what they want, and if they want more they buy that too. Money's the name of the game. Get. More.
Memory will be unified, as the line between CPU and GPU will become none existent. Larrabee being a GPGPU, and CellBE being nearly the same proves that the groundwork has already been set in place. Also, both major graphics chip manufacturers (ATI and nVidia) have gone Unified Shader Architecture, so the trend is to have a much more flexible setup. I see CUDA in PS4's future, probably to support an extra tossed in nVidia GPU, and task it with PhysX releated work (only an example).

it's legit. this post has new screens that the supposed duplicate doesn't. plus, they're great quality.
Holy crap! 5 pages over a comment about PS3's controller? I'll admit that this little guy has become an icon of the industry, but to each his own. I actually think they are both great controllers, and the x360 is something different (which is nice, for a change). The battle doesn't lie in the details. They're usually so small that they make minimal impact. The battle lies in the big picture. Both consoles present a pretty nice package.
I'm definitely picking this game up. I just wish they'd port ALL of their FF7 saga related games to PSP, like Dirge of Cerberus.
Abe was an awesome character, but his initial appearances were in the 32bit PSone. Nevertheless, I think OddWorld made a really good story and I did like the plight of the Mudokins. And the gameplay mechanics were pretty advanced.
Physics is nice. Will Sixasis play any roll in that? Like minigames or other fun stuff?
you can say Xbox 360 in PlayStation language
X [] O
X (X) Box (Square) 360 (Circle)
yay!
Mine went offline at 12:08AM. Good to see that they're performing maintenance. Stuff like this happens to all websites, cell phone services, cable providers. Good thing too, since Xbox Live services millions of gamers, and sees millions of users logging in. A day without it will go by quick. After all, it's a Monday:)
And the hatred for x360 isn't? I think we all just need to skip a day and forget this site ever existed. Maybe 2 days.
What I see happening here and in a lot of other posts are people dismissing this game just because it's slated to released on both x360 and PS3. You mean that your distaste for anything Microsoft has led you to drop even an FF game? Nothing will be lost in their conversion, they've already stated that "their content will identical" and that "360's development has not/will not interfere with the PS3 version".
And saying that XIII Versus will be the TRUE defining P...
Microsoft took a big stance in the PC gaming world. But it takes more than just a sticker you can place on the box that shows you're inline with Microsoft. Nvidia hasn't had much success with the "Play the Game the Way it Was Meant to be Played" campaign. I'll admit that Ruby has helped ATI's image, and they've been consistent with keeping her updated. But Games for Windows is going to need more than just an image. It needs a purpose.
PROCESSORS
Cell= single dual threaded PPE (3.2ghz), 8 single threaded SPEs (read "stream processor")
shows up as two logical processors, since the SPEs are DIRECTLY subordinate to the PPE. they are DEPENDENT on the PPE for work. programs see the PPE first, and then are tailored to be able to use the other SPEs. one of the SPEs is also locked for use by the system and another is inactive to improve chip yields.
Xenon= 3core dual threaded cpu (ea...
Enjoy this article. Monday stars off another week of x360 bashing.
Nicole's nice, but they make it harder for the average girl to find a date. Nope, they're not for me. I'll take the average girl, the klutz. The girl who trips on her words and (occasionally) shoelaces. They seem realer to me.
I'm not bashing the program (far from it). Here's my setup:
SATA to/from notebook (Fujitsu 5400rpm 8mb cache SATA 150)
Wi-fi to/from notebook (Intel 4965AGN)
Wi-fi to/from router (Belkin N Router)
Ethernet to/from x360 (100BaseT)
Fujitsu 5400rpm >>SATA>> Intel 4965AGN >>wi-fi>> Belkin N Router >>ethernet>> Xbox 360
My wi-fi card and my router are fully 802.11n (draft n) compatible and when I check the...
it's a great game, but i think you over did it there. both system have almost the same amount of memory
PS3: 256mb XDR + 256mb GDDR3
x360: 512mb GDDR3 + 10mb EDRAM
if square was so interested about money, they would've kept making ps2 jrpgs to this day. with both ps3 and x360 they have a smaller audience and even fewer committed buyers.
Nothing in the x360 was rehashed from any console before it. The original Xbox was an Intel/nVidia based system. I even had nearly the same mobo used in one of my SFF systems back in 2004 (nForce2 400, MCP-T). x360 is an IBM/ATI based system. None of the tech was in any way a revision of something prior, unless you count the Xenon as being a descendant of the Mac PowerPC G5 (which is still much less than what the Xenon is). Also Xenos is an r600 based GPU, a series which made its debut AFTER ...
