and yes, it will sell more. because x360 will provide the easiest and cheapest way for fans of the series to get ffxii. ps3 might have a price drop by then, but i advise sony against it. just make the socom bundle with the headset and you'll see sales rise. or killzone 2. but ffxiii in america/europe will sell more than in japan. even though the paying field is in Sony's favor, both ps3 and x360 sell pretty low over there and this isn't a ps2 game so Squeen...

You know what's great? Microsoft has really done quite a lot with their other services. Here's a rundown of Microsoft services that I use the most and how they rate.

Zune Player: 10/10 Superb. The pinnacle of media library/marketplace functionality. It looks svelt and sleek and the Mix View really adds depth to the experience. I recall a similar feature in Sony SonicStage (a sort of Metroid-esque scrolling tree branch/molecule thing). Mix view lets you see artists and albums simi...

What I want to see in the future is better Media Center Extender stability. I dunno if it's my router or my wi-fi but Media Center can be a b*tch to navigate when it starts browsing your system and tasking your PC with making thumbnails for all of your media. And when it starts lagging your remote doesn't seem to respond to any input until like a minute later.

Hopefully Microsoft can fix that, seeing that it's a critical part of the living room. The ability of the x360 to be used as...

Well, it's something to definitely being looking forward to. I like the blades look too Colbert.

But I'm happy to see them coming up with something new. And it's going to be pretty rockin! I'd like to see how themes work with it, actually I think they'll look better than before. With the Blades everything lays on top of your wallpapers, so it looks kind of jumbled. I like how it looks right now, but I'm switching once this update becomes available.

The nicest thing will b...

I liked Rise of a Ninja, but I think the world became stagnant after you beat the game. It just felt "done" when you moved on with the story, though Leaf Village was pretty explorable. I liked how they nailed his movements and how you run through the environments. Also, when it gets into fighting game mode I believe it can hold its own as a pretty fast and furious fighter.

If there was more to do, and more environments I'd give RoaN a 9/10. As it is, I give it an 8/10. ...

Wow, every point you made had nothing to do with online service, let alone Home

what does blu ray have to with home? nothing
what does bluetooth have to do with home? nothing (besides optional accessories)
what does wi-fi have to with home? nothing (besides networking convenience)
what does hdmi have to with home? nothing

Jake, try to stay on topic. Yes, I know it's hard to concentrate in the early stages of infantile development. Tell you what, we'...

so...you guys complained when it was first known that Braid on XBLA was $15 (compared to the standard $10) but now $20 is okay for a PSN download? sure, i can see that the price did scale with the game (it's bigger than a standard arcade type game) but then again, Braid presented a more complex gameplay mechanic than other XBLA titles that might fit into standard puzzle/strategy type games.

not starting an argument, just wondering why there was such a flip-out over price back the...

You have to really understand what a PC is in order for you to understand why Vista utilizes more memory. It's actually almost an identical in concept as virtualization. With virtualization the idea is to mazaimize use of the system's resources by taking on more work and running multiple operating systems in tandem as a way of providing independent systems to many clients/users. The same goes with memory cache in Vista, except think about the OS as the APP. As you load and unload programs, Vi...

360 was Microsoft's attempt at making the console (at launch) as lean as they could build it. and because of that, they ran into acoustic management and thermal management issues. just the fact that the power supply is on the outside (trimming the console a bit) and that the 2.5" notebook HDD is on the top (making it the equivalent of an external, while keeping in line with the width of the console) should tell you something right there.

Truth is the incidence if these so called "manufacturing defects" is a lot smaller than people have made it out to be. The Xbox 360 is a quality machine, and I've owned one since May 2006. People used to complain about a noisy drive, I can see validity in those accusations. But that has more to do with the form factor of the console. It's relatively thin and the drive construction does not allow for much acoustic management. Also, the shell is plastic which might attribute to some ...

Jonathan Davis from Fony Records: "Rock is DEAD"

Xzibit: "It thought it was decent"

JD: "I wanna see some botties shakin"

Snoop Dogg: "Maaaayyn, this ain't about no booty! It's about 'transistors'. Ya dig?"

twisted transistor...proving that it DOESN"T NEED TO BE ABOUT BOOTY. just transistors.

1080p sounds great. nothing better than an rpg that looks sharper than the rest.

This and Mass Effect were two awesome games. Bioshock has the best atmosphere of any game out there. Mass Effect has great graphics all around, with an emphasis on character models and body/facial animation. Bioshock's characters aren't that detailed, but the game pulls off some other-worldly snazzy effects and cool oldies flair. I have one of those Fedora hats on my coat rack. Brings out the Timberlake.

Back on topic, Bioshock for PS3 proves that multiplatform equals fun for all. Hey, if I had a PS3 I would definitely pick this game up. I have it on x360 and I don't think there will be any major differences on either of the consoles. I don't even think PS3 gamers will complain about the analog placement, as is usually a common gripe amongst hardcore FPSers. DualShock has a long lineage and I think it's one of the greater icons of the industry, in and of itself. I'm sure FPSs play great with ...

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot = 1024x768 (2xAA, temporal)

Splinter Cell Double Agent = 1280x720 (4xAA) (developer)

They're both great games, but SC: DA offers great graphics PLUS resolution. I'm not here to diss MGS4, it's a great game all around. But I do remember a certain someone who used to work at Sony promising "all games 60FPS ...

It comes with a 256MB memory unit. With that you can get online and save your games and profiles. It may not be much but you could find a 20 GB HDD cheap on Ebay.

Xbox 360 System (w/HDMI connector and HDD bay)
Xbox Live Silver membership (access to Xbox Live Marketplace)
256MB Memory Unit
Wireless Controller
Composite SD cables (HDMI cable not included)
Arcade Games disc

x360 Arcade being at $199 gets you into HD gaming. It starts you off. Who knows, maybe you'll never feel the need to bother upgrading. So, in essence you got your money's worth! People spread bullsh*t about "hidden costs"...oh yeah, right!

"I didn't skim through the Best Buy add. And, BTW, my eyes jumped over the prices of the optional accessories. I never knew...wow! I'm shocked! It's like...a conspiracy! Internet? What's that?"

Take it easy. You're demanding all of those extra options, so in essence you're the gamer who wants the best of the best. You'd be looking at the Elite then since it comes with everything you'll need. Not every gamer wants/needs or (more importantly) WANTS TO PAY for the all that extra stuff. Seriously. Maybe in the long run it would prove to be an exceptional value, but it's all up to you. Besides, all machines go down in value anyway.

Oh yeah, maybe you'll have integrated blue ...
