IMO I have to agree about Nintendo having the best showing. I was hoping the E3 would give me the drive to want to spend the money upgrade to a PS4 from my PS3, but the only games I can think of right off bat that got my interest from Sony are LBP3 and the Arkham Knight. (on the other games, I'm not much of a fan of Mature rated profanity and sex fests and my feeling for FPS games borders on hate) But since I've really burned myself out on LBP2 and can get Arkham Knight for my gaming...
I agree. While Sony is clearly the winner so far for this generation, IMO Nintendo really won the 2014 E3. After a number of years of lackluster showings, it's nice to see them getting serious again.
Generic heroes would be more like it. Just look at the photo in the article, those guys could have all came from the same family.
It also seems to be quite common for many of these heroes to have extremely corny dialogues and flat personalities.
I still have all my Gamecube stuff including controllers. There are probably as many gamers out there that hang on to their stuff as there are that sell them. Also Gamecube controllers are a dime a dozen on eBay (new and used), so it's not like people can't get a hold of them.
Not sure I want this adapter for one game though, but if there are signs that other games will support it, I definitely be grabbing one.
I agree with you. As soon as Nintendo showed any sign of improving, all these hate articles have been popping up. I wish people would just go and enjoy the system they like and stop hating on the other systems. Any loss of gaming choice for the gamer is not a good thing for gamers. I used to think 'Haters are gonna hate' was a silly phrase, but I'm really starting to see the wisdom in those words.
Sadly I can't get it day one because of more pressing matters draining me financially, but as soon as I can I will be grabbing this one. It's been a while since I've really got into a good Mario Kart game and this one doesn't look like one to be missed.
This is really getting old. Political correct is really turning into nothing but a tool do destroy freedom of speech and creativity. I'm all for equality but what people are doing these days throwing racism accusation at everyone and everything is like the equivalent of crying wolf. They're making it mean nothing. These kind of accusations should be saved for where they really matter.
Though not the same thing, I am hearing impaired and have a disability where what I hear is scrambled before it reaches my brain due to a damaged nerve caused by a fall when I was 10. While I can hear music quite well, the spoken word without the aid of lip reading or subtitles is just gibberish to me. It's always terrible when I spend $60 on a game only to find I can't play it because the designers couldn't be bothered to included a subtitle option. I applaud him for not allow...
While I think both will be neat, I have a hard time seeing any VR device being popular in the home due to the level of eye strain they would cause. I could definitely see them doing well in Game Centers though where the gamer would use them in more moderation. With arcades starting to become popular in the big cities again, not to mention all the game centers in movie theaters, bowling allies and amusement parks, I could see them doing well if they take that route. But if they are aiming f...
We shouldn't trust reviews at all. Any fanboy can get a web page and set themselves up as a reviewer these days. Most reviews these days seem to be coming from biased fanboys or from reviewers that give a good review on whether the developer gave them enough goodies or not. I'm sure there are honest reviewers out there, but they're not always easy to spot in the crowd.
I read reviews sometimes to get an idea of what a game is about, but after that I check some ...
It's funny how many people think a system has to be doing well to enjoy it. Personally I don't have a Vita, but if you do and you like the games that are available for it, continue to enjoy the system regardless of what the media says. When I bought a Sega Dreamcast, the system died six month later, but I continued to fully enjoy the system until it gave up the ghost the summer before last. Come to think of it, I really need to get around to picking up a working one. But the point...
I agree. I hate games pushing their political views on me. While I don't believe I have a right to tell others how to live, it doesn't mean I want it shoved in my face either (I'm not just talking about homosexual content, but any kind of sexual content and if it's going to be in there it should be completely and only at the adult gamer's choosing.)
Most likely this is Nintendo's idea of smoothing things over, but if things do turn out as this articl...
@3-4-5, I have to agree. I'm really loving my Wii U too. I've been growing really tired of the dark so called mature crap that has been flooding the MS and Sony consoles these days that I've been mostly sinking my money into older games for my retro consoles. The Wii U has really been a breath of fresh air and I'm very glad I picked one up. Too many gamers are so caught up in numbers that they are really missing out on good games. I noticed this trend starting last gen, f...
Well put, zod18. Look at what happened to Swapnote on the 3DS because some idiots decided to abuse it.
I think Komp pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Also MS's machine is built from off the shelf parts wile the PS4's hardware is custom designed for the unit, so of course the hardware is going to be more sleek and streamlined.
It's like comparing a Mac to a PC. Only except while the Mac is sleeker and better built, the PC is 'cheaper' because it uses off the shelf parts and also more customizable.
Which really doesn'...
You logic is flawed. Those things where done because of greed and hate by people hiding behind religion. Even if there was no religions, people would still kill because of hate and greed. Hitler was an atheist and an anti-religious bigot and it didn't stop him from starting wars and killing millions.
And while I'm not a fan of Grand Theft Auto and have no desire to defend it, anyone who committed crimes this month would most likely have done so even if the game n...
I love PC gaming, but I love my consoles as well. I really don't know why so many console only gamers are so threatened by PC gamers. As long as you're gaming on what you like, that's all that really matters.
I'm still recovering from a recent retro game buying spree, so I'll have to pass on this nice deal, but I really would like add a Wii U to my collection, I'll have to keep an eye out for future deals.
Since I live way out in the country over 40mi. from the nearest city, it's not always easy for me to get out to the stores, but when I can, I love heading to the malls with my friends and browsing the game stores. It's nice to get out once in a while and go shopping. Though true gaming stores seem to be a dying breed, I hope that they continue on in one form or other even if only as retro gaming stores. While it's convenient to buy digitally or order online from eBay or Amazon,...
If I had to pick between those two, I'd say Sony, but I felt it could have been a lot better for both of them.
