I'm so tired of these wannabe journalists blaming the gamers for ruining gaming that I am not even going to dignify this article with a click. Gamers aren't ruining gaming, cooperate greed and fear are.
Being a fan of old school gaming myself, I have to say this looks pretty cool. Looking forward to checking it out. I hope the difficulty isn't through the roof.
I have a hard time seeing it succeed as all Andriod games currently out are designed for a touch screen so anything that really takes advantage of the system is going to have to be specifically designed for it. Unless it sells like hot cakes, I really don't see very many Andriod programmers choosing to develope for it over the phones and tablets.
All popular games have thier clones and this is nothing more than the latest one of a long long line of Pokemon clones. What do you think Digimon and Monster Rancher are, not to mention the 100s of JRPGs where you capture monsters out there?
Those throwing a fit over this need to get a clue and dry up.
I'm a Pokemon fan myself, but I'm certainly not bothered by this as long as they did thier own work and didn't steal any content directly out of t...
Those blowing their stacks over this article need to cool down. This is just someone's opinion and you don't have to agree with it.
I've been seeing a lot of trends starting this gen that I haven't been too happy with and unless something changes, the future of gaming isn't really looking very rosy.
These days I find myself gaming more and more on my retro systems. It used to be that you didn't have to pay through the nose for ga...
I'm not going to justify this article with a hit. Personally I was rather impressed with some of the things they showed the Wii U doing. I went away from E3 feeling better about the console than I did before it.
Gamers who buy single player games that require always online and then cry about not being able to connect really have no one but themselves to blame.
I used to be a simcity fan, but burned out on the game a long time ago, so I don't think I'll have any problem giving this one a pass.
Personally I don't even by PC games released by EA anymore. With the bad name they have acquired, you'd think they'd be trying to improve their image rather...
It is a great game, bought it a week ago and haven't played anything else since. This is one of the few RPGs that uses online in a way I actually like too.
I noticed that's it's black. It would be cool if we got the option of a black Wii U. Currently, the Wii is the only white component in my entertainment system and it stands out like a sore thumb.
Thanks for the tip. The nicer feel of mechanical keys is why I'm planning a mechanical one for my next keyboard. Even though I'm more into single player games and only compete online rarely, I still prefer gaming keyboards for the nicer feel and durability over standard keyboards. If you do a lot of heavy gaming on the PC, the durability of more expensive keyboards will pay you back, so I think they're worth the extra money.
Not sure yet if I'll go with thi...
Wonder how this keyboard compares with the Eclipse II. In my current setup I use a Saitek Eclipse II keyboard combined with a MS Sidewinder mouse, the Eclipse II is really starting to show it's age. It's been a great keyboard, but I'd like to move on to one of those mechanical keyboards, though I'm not sure one of the Corsairs would be the best choice.
I mostly play RPGs such as the Elder Scrolls series which usually use the FPS setup for moving, so if I did...
I have to admit that not having motion plus is why I haven't bought it yet. It's hard to shell out for both a controller and game when there are so many other good games out there right now that don't require me to make an extra purchase.
If the Wii U does come with a motion plus controller out of the box, I'll grab SS after I get a Wii U.
I wish that the consumer's rights agencies in the US and UK would take the video game industry seriously. If the music or movie industries tried to pull some of the things some of these game publishers get away with, the consumer's rights groups would be all over them.
Because they wanted to meet the holiday season and they knew they could get away with it.
This is what I've been saying all along in that digital and retail will continue to co-exist. There will always be a market for retail, so there will always be someone who will take advantage of it.
It's really only those who fall for the doom cries of a jaded media that believe otherwise.
I just hope this doesn't mean that the PS3 version suffers in any way to accommodate the Vita.
It's a shame as KoA was one of the best CRPGs I've played in a long time. Though I also like Skyrim, Kingdoms was better because it had much more varied and interesting side quests than Skyrim. The different faction stories were far more interesting than Skyrim's as well.
The two addons that came out for it were real extensions to the game, something I have not seen in an RPG since Morrowind. The Dead Kel addon alone took me nearly twenty hours to complete.
I agree. I didn't like the first one at all and the demo for this one did not convince me that I wanted to buy it.
That'll be cool. I never understood why Oblivion didn't allow for horseback fighting when even Zelda: AoT allowed for it, in a sense, by use of the bow (it being the first 3D RPG with working horseback riding that I am aware of.) So understandably I was pretty disappointed when Skyrim came out and it also didn't allow for mounted combat. When you're constantly being attacked while riding but can't fight back it makes the horses seem rather superfluous.
What a lot of people (including some posters here) don't get is that it has nothing to do with how well Kinect is implemented. A lot of core gamers don't like Kinect because they don't want to jump around while gaming, they want to relaxe in a comforble chair with a controller while they enjoy hours long gaming sessions. So whether or not it's improved on the next system is a mute point for these gamers as they don't want it period.
