Why, so less people will buy them and the companies will make less money? Not to mention all the pirates out there who will claim a price hike justifies their thefts. It doesn't matter how much a game cost to make, how good it is or the value when comparing to other mediums, if people can't afford it, they won't buy it. With the high cost of living these days, games, which are not necessary to life are already pushing it for many people.
The game isn't that good. Once people get over the "Wow, it's a Nintendo game on my phone" factor, many are likely to just move on. In my experience, most phone games have very short legs. Only a handful remain popular for a meaningful length of time and then those tend to fade as well.
I really like the Sony brand and I don't agree with everything this person says, yet I can't say I've been happy with some of the directions Sony has been taking lately. I'm a multi console gamer and feel that companies have to earn my money, I'm not one of Sony's sheep that praises them no matter what they do. I used to be a computer gamer and with both main consoles companies now starting to embrace many of the reasons I left, I have been starting to wonder if it w...
I love the game already, it's one of my favorite this gen so far, but what would make me very happy would be if they would fix the random crashing. They do start to wear on you after a while.
I've been playing it every chance I get since day one and have not run out of stuff to do. Some people enjoy having an endless environment to explore. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean it's meaningless. The fact that all this is randomly generated and it still looks good is very impressive and a real milestone for gaming. Just think, a company could create a complex RPG then use such an engine to fill out the world around it making the world seem much bigg...
I love the Wii U myself and play it almost as much as I play my PS4. Though I'm sad that it's not going to live out the generation, I don't regret having purchased one, the games I have for it, make it well worth having. May pick up a second one some time so that I'll have a backup once they're off the shelves.
This is just nonsense that they as well as the other console developers are spouting because they want people to buy their short lived mid-gen systems. Technology will continue to progress. Even updating systems can only go so far before the hardware will have to be completely replaced to handle newer more powerful CPUs, gpus, faster ram, etc. Just ask any long time computer gamer and they will confirm this. A new generation and new consoles will come, if not by MS or Sony then by someone...
I think VR has got a ways to go yet. Besides giving me headaches, the horrible controls VR employs completely destroys the willful dispense of disbelief by reminding me how unreal it is. They need to develop tactile feedback gloves that let you feel what you are doing, not waving a couple of wands around. I don't see a lot of people sticking with this kind of control for very long without being tempted to just go back to the conventional way of gaming.
I agree and a crappy phone game at that. Though Nintendo did try to please the core gamer with the Wii U as a lot of wonderful core games came out on that system. (I love Xenoblade Chronicles X) But most core gamers snubbed them and the Wii U. It's no wonder Nintendo went back to catering to the causal crowd. The down side is the causal crowd has a tendency to drop stuff as quickly as as they pick it up.
Been playing this on and off since it came out and haven't experienced any problems on my end. Been really enjoying the mech addon lately.
I have the disc version and it is a wonderful game. It's a shame a lot of people are simply ignoring it. People are always crying for companies to try something new, but when companies do so, the same people run and cower behind their Call of Duty. This is exactly why we don't see a lot of AAA that are fresh IPs.
I have both systems and can say that the PS3 is getting much better games, at least in my opinion. I had a feeling this would happen though because it's mandiatory on the PS4 for online gaming so there's no need to tempt ps4 gamers to get it. If I didn't need it for online gaming, I wouldn't be wasting my money on it.
Also there are very few PS+ deals on the PS4 store while lots of them on the PS3 store.
I like Nintendo, but their "Let's stab our early adapters in the back," trend is not something I wanted to see spreading out over the whole market.
This is one of my most favorite Lucas Arts games of all time. I'm really tickled to get the opportunity to play it again. It's been so long, the puzzles are fresh again. Now if they would just do the same with Full Throttle ...
@Moldybread,
I don't know, Sony has been pretty quick to kill the servers on their games before. Look how they killed GT5, bearly a year out, to try to force everyone over to the micro transaction heavy GT6. I'm a racing fan, but I certainly won't be buying this game now.
Never tried Bully. Might be fun to give it a go while between newer titles. I noticed that it's gone from a T rating to M. I'm guessing that pretty much anything with alcohol or tobacco gets an M these days regardless of other content.
I really like the way they touch up the PS2 titles for PS4 release, they look so much better than the PS2 titles on the PS3. Since it never got a HD remake, I'm hoping that Square-Enix will at least release FF12 this way. It al...
All Sony is doing is back stabbing their fans who bought their systems at the get go. I have a hard time believing developers are going to suddenly start supporting 4K when they had to be dragged screaming from 720p to 1080p. If you happen to have a 4K tv, then it might be nice for movies but no developer in their right mind is going to cut off all the millions of ps4 owners out there now by making anything exclusive for this new model without hefty bribes from Sony.
I personally like this game a lot. It requires strategy by planing ahead though, something a lot of arcade gamers in the west couldn't handle. I still play it on my NES as well as the arcade perfect port in Namco Museum 2.
I remember thinking it was a shame how much Oblivion was dumbed down from Morrowind. It seems like each version loses a serious level of complexity from the previous one. In their attempt to reel in more and more non RPG gamers, Besthada is starting to forget the RPG fans who supported them when they weren't as big.
It's kind of a concern for me anyway after being promised a huge open world game to hear the term, 'Linear' applied to it. I don't want to pay 60 bucks on a game that turns into another corridor fighter after 20 hrs of gameplay. I'll have to find out more about what they mean by this before I'm willing to shell out. There's nothing wrong with a well done linear game, it's just not what they've been promising with this one.
