They don't mean it literally, they mean there's no games to persuade them to invest in the new hardware. There's no decent exclusive games on it - though that should change with PSN titles appearing on there boosting the numbers - it's all ports or spin-offs of home console franchises that people have already played to death.
Uncharted is all well and good, but there's been three of those games on home console where they're meant to be played. You...
Looked a little bit clunky in terms of the combat. I'd rather they did a 2D or 2.5D title with big, well animated sprites/models. Make it widescreen HD, have the same sound effects and music as SoR 2 and simply bump up the available moves and characters.
The unofficial remake from Bomber games was very good - same sprites with rejigged levels etc.
It's going to run at least double the cost of a traditional pad....perhaps more. You'd need to be pretty dedicated to a particular game to buy another gamepad in order to get that feature.
The WiiU is a games machine first, doesn't need to play blu ray movies. Blu ray playback didn't exactly kill the 360 or Wii did it? In fact, the blu ray drive is pretty much a hinderance to the PS3 due to it's relative sluggishness. They don't duplicate game data on blu ray discs for nothing you know...it's to save wear and tear on the drive. As for the Vita thing....that's a non-starter.
Devs for the WiiU know the gamepad (at least 1) is there for EVERY pl...
No-one cares my friend....only the tech bores care about meaningless tosh like that.
People keep blathering on about mods....nobody of any consequence gives a crap. The Randy Savage Skyrim mod is kind of funny...that's it. I have a PC, and I simply don't care about modding...I just want to play the damn games that the developers released. I love the graphical advantages that PC can bring, but it doesn't change the game underneath...that plays the same on both PC and con...
What are you talking about dude? What 100gig blu ray discs? All the talk of them being able to upgrade the PS3 to read triple layer discs and all that stuff is just that, talk. They've not even come close to filling a 50gig Blu Ray (which is a dual layer disc, every blu ray layer is 25gig) unless it's by duplicating the game data to save wear of the drive.
Cloud gaming is terrible. Seriously...it's horrible. You'd need to play the game at 3 in the morning to get the best quality streaming with minimal lag, and even then it's more noticeable than local play.
Cloud gaming should only ever be a last resort - like if you have a shitty laptop and can't afford a new machine. Even then, I'd rather do without.
Excellent to hear Nintendo doing what it can to court the indy developers. With big budget AAA titles providing stagnation and zero risk, it's been up to the indy devs to provide some new ideas over the last few years....and numerous indy games have done extremely well.
Well done Nintendo.
CoD has always been CoD, they've never ditched their horror formula in favour of doing the same, generic action game formula as everyone else uses in a cynical attempt to get more sales.
Instead of doing their own thing, Capcom are jumping on the bandwagon and providing an experience that's slightly worse than the games they're copying for inspiration.....THAT'S why people are upset.
Resident Evil isn't horror anymore, but it could be if Capcom weren't chasing those CoD sales. Love Amnesia, so agree with you there.
For a decent survival horror title, try ZombiU. Enemies carry a genuine threat, it's very tense and has loads of atmosphere. Graphics are rough around the edges, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Really good game, and not an action game dressed up as horror.
Several of the ports perform better on a technical level - Black Ops 2, Tekken, Mass Effect 3, etc - and these are quick ports to unfamiliar hardware.
The PS3 took a few years to fully hit it's stride - 360 too - the WiiU will be the same.
I think we've got to the point that graphics improvements are going to be more and more incremental. The next Xbox and Playstation aren't going to be these futuristic monoliths that so many Nintendo bashers have pictured them as lately.
All the talk of Black Ops 2 on 360 being "vastly superior" to the Wii U version is simply nonsense...a few scenes suffered from a couple of seconds of slowdown. That's it. I consider that really good considering the re...
Ok, this kind of thing pisses me off. "Yeah, I'm stickin' it to the man....I'm such a rebel, look how cool I am for wasting money".
You know what, screw that sub-teenage mindset. There's a charity out there called Child's Play that would gladly have accepted a donation of this console for sick kids to play...yet all this moron does is destroy it.
Screw you and any other moron who gets his jollies by seeing another idiot waste his money and destr...
Dude...you have just as many issues as the cretin in this video.
SJPFTL, and that's a nifty little feature. But is it worth £30-40 a year?
If you're online and you're friends aren't, you're paying for no advantage. And tying features like Netflix into Gold is an utter travesty considering you already pay Netflix a subscription...why should you have to continue to pay MS as well in order to access the service?
Frankly, there's about a million things I'd rather do than have people constantly yapping...
Sizzon, it's a joke. Switzerland were neutral during WW2, and still are largely neutral now.
Yes...opinions are often biased, well done. Have a cookie. They are not meant to troll, they are meant to offer an opinion. You may not like that opinion, but the entire purpose is to put that opinion out there.
How vital a feature is that though, really? Most of the time the party chat is insipid bullshit and singing to your idiot friends.
As for your comments on Plus, good luck finding all the games you can get from a years subscription in the bargain bins for less than the cost of Plus...and that's ignoring all the PSN games you get for free, as well as discounts of up to 20% on PSN purchases which you them get to keep. Even if you let the membership lapse and lose access to...
I paid a £1 a month for 6 months in a row when I went through a Black Ops Multiplayer phase. It wasn't such a rip-off then, but paying more than that is undoubtedly madness. I know regular Live users justify it due to a "better" online experience...but is it really £30-40 better?
For someone who plays online only occasionally, it's just not worth the cost. Sony and it's Plus service is the way to go if you want money towards online. Next ge...
All the whining about DRM was ridiculous.....it's fucking Steam. Yes, technically DRM, but millions of people use it every day with no issue.
Suddenly it's a Humble bundle spin-off, that means it's something to complain about.
Hell no, a bunch of great games for a small price, and I gave it all to charity.
