Gamers don't help themselves at times. It's all very well to give constructive feedback and do so in a polite manner, but frankly, a lot of gamers it seems lack the capacity to do that and instead lash out like angry children.

And they will nitpick every little detail and turn it into some sort of major flaw that completely ruins a game...same as a lot of snarky film "fans" are doing by screaming "PLOTHOLE!!" at every little inconsistency they see...

It's a little bit of a simplistic view from Cage there, very few games ever hit that perfect note in their first iteration. Uncharted is a good example, the first game was decent, but not a patch on what was to come from Uncharted 2 and even 3. Refinement, adding new mechanics and tweaking old ones can really provide the best experience that the developers intended when making their initial attempt.

Unlike movies, sequels to games are usually a significant improvement o...

Indy games are not a phase, and they shouldn't be. They will allow the next generation of talent to work their way through the industry, and with that, bring new ideas and notions that the AAA game makers can rip off wholesale and also improve that market - it's cynical, and it sucks, but it does happen.

The risk you run is that games like Sleeping Dogs and Dishonoured may gradually start to fall off the map in the next generation as the costs become too high to deve...

It's the only country where they have a vested interest in ensuring the blame doesn't tarnish the product that they make millions off per year. Hence their clinging to an antiquated amendment and revelling in hypocrisy by claiming how terrible it is to violate the rights given by the 2nd Amendment, but actively encouraging the breaching of the 1st Amendment.

I find them to be disgusting - their ideas are barbaric (who would actually ever want to send their kids to a ...

International TV rights not being set up and all sorts of other stupid factors unfortunately.
If you really want to watch it, search out a VPN and use it to emulate a US internet connection to let you view it.

A game like War Z has it's defenders....that pretty much tells you that some gamers have absolutely zero standards and just enjoy spending money for any old rubbish.

I question someone calling someone else a moron when they type the word "you" as "u", can't capitalise sentences and used "your" instead of "you're".

If you're going to call someone else a moron, make sure you don't look like one yourself.

Top rain effects? Hmmm, how about I don't actually care about something so trivial because if the game isn't fun to play, no amount of technical frippery will save it?

Was that on the list?

You mean it wasn't a good idea to threaten people who wanted refunds or call those who complained about your lies ignorant dolts who didn't know how to read properly?

I'm shocked to the core!!!

They need to show something other than Killzone, because that art style sure is ugly and dreary. Technically proficient? Yes, but something like Rayman Legends is MUCH more visually appealing to all but the cursed likes of 13 year old boys who think that anything less than brown or grey tones is "gay" or "kiddie"....and the adults with that 13 year old mentality are much worse.

Also, lets not worry about 4K when they can barely manage 1080p with stable f...

While I admire the thought behind it, this action just doesn't sit right with me. Why should people be shamed into giving up the entertainment they enjoy? Because a disturbed individual flips and massacres a bunch of people? The key word there is individual...stop looking for the easy scapegoat and start educating people on the real problems. Mental health is the real issue, and it's time to stop sweeping the issue under the rug and start giving out information and advice to those...

I'm not sure you know what fun is. It certainly isn't bland maps, 4 hour re-spawn times and content you paid for being arbitrarily taken from you when you die.

I can live with rubbish graphics if the game is fun or at least competent...but WarZ looks neither. Incidentally, how long have you worked for the developer/how often were you dropped on your head as a child? (Delete as applicable).

Yes everyone....play a game you don't enjoy purely to "earn" some costiumes that will do nothing but remind you of the good games in the series rather than the badly done action schlock it became. Sounds like a sweet deal to me....*GAG*

How does abstaining from violent entertainment show respect to the deceased? All it does is ensure that this coward of a killer continues to have an impact on the world, even after death.
In these cases, I'm with the FBI guy in the Charlie Brooker video on Youtube....stop giving these psychos publicity. Do not broadcast their name, do not emphasise the number of victims....let's stop giving these unbalanced lunatics a target to aim for and a "hero" to aspire to. <...

@Dirt Hurts, well done, you're one of the brainless millions ruled by the fear that the media drum up. "I need guns to protect myself from the murderers and rapists that WILL descend on my family". Ugh.

The old "if people want a gun, they'll get one" crap is simply ludicrous. These mass shootings are being performed by people with legally held arms. People that, in all likelihood, wouldn't even know where to start looking to obtain a weapon...

DayZ copied World War Z, and War Z copied DayZ in it's mad rush to beat it to market. It's so obvious as to be pointless to try to excuse....of course they went with a sound-a-like name, that's not even the most pressing of the issues regarding this messy rip-off of a game.

Increasing re-spawn times to 4 hours and then instituting a charge to instantly re-spawn was the most despicable move (apart from making such a poor game in the first place, of course).

Nobody who actually owns one cares, the only ones who actually care are those who don't really understand the ins and outs of the technology and automatically think that the bigger number is better in ALL cases. And they only care in order to back up the fact that they have no intention - and never did - of getting the console for various poorly defined reasons...chief of which is the console is "too kiddie".

Yaaaaaawn, it got boring weeks ago. Plenty of peopl...

Nope. They deliberately lied and misled potential customers on Steam, then tried to blame the users for misreading those lies.
It's an appalling rip-off of a game. Items bought with real money will disappear if you die, never to return. You will die a lot as the game is a barely finished mess. They instituted an update that raised the re-spawn time from 1 hour to 4 - coincidentally just when they instituted a real money charge in order to re-spawn right away. Their anti-hacki...

Good to see they're going to address the loading times. They aren't TOO bad, but lengthy enough to be noticeable, especially when people are used to fast and slick phone OS's and the like.

Even at this early stage, it is a damn good console and you can clearly see the potential the system has. NintendoLand alone is worth the investment IMO, especially if you have the opportunity to get the multiplayer going.

Zombi U says hi...the entire game is built around the gamepad and what it offers in terms of adding tension and useful abilities to the game. Radar, scanning objects, hacking, lockpicking, keypad entry, inventory management....all handled on the gamepad, and all done in real time as it would be in real life. Adding a need for strategy and timing, and it instils panic in the player as you're frantically trying to get things done before the zombies get to you. I'd think that kind of ...
