Which is better, console or PC? Don't care, I have both. My PC is connected very easily to my HDTV through HDMI, and I use a 360 pad for most games other than FPS games.
My PC offers me the option to customise games if I want to and better graphics by default, as well as cheaper prices on big titles and great bargains on Steam games that I can't get on console.
My PS3 and 360 offer me games that don't appear on PC, and are more hassle free. If a game is availa...

Games prices have remained the same since the days of the Genesis/Megadrive and the SNES. Possibly NES, but I really don't remember how much NES prices were in the UK.

It cost me £40 to get Sonic 2 on the Megadrive (an era with a distinct lack of piracy), just like it would have cost me £40 to get any 360 or PS3 game nowadays on release day, if I didn't actually shop around online for the best deals and get them even cheaper than that. Piracy has nothing t...

It's a big site with several different writers. They most likely also operate from a "neutrality" stance in that both sides of every story must be put forward so as to counter accusations of bias. They are not a games specific or format specific site, that's not conflict of interest, it's ensuring a level of unbiased coverage.

@Mounce, the 360 has been out a year longer than the PS3 and is also still going strong. Both companies are stretching this generation out, and both companies will support both formats even when their next gen offerings are ready.
Both have lost so much money this gen because of their loss leading strategy that they can't afford to abandon the hardware when it's now actually generating profit for them on each unit sold. Sony are not unique in this instance.

It's funny, but the majority of people who bought the Wii U will miss a lot of the negativity being spouted about it because they simply don't care about all that petty drivel, they just want to play some damn Nintendo.

Like it, don't like it...buying it, not touching it....I don't care, people need to get a bit of perspective before they commence to whining about stuff which is irrelevant to 95% of the consoles user base.

The 360 had a port o...

I've had updates on the PS3 take upwards of 30 minutes due to the way it downloads and installs data...it seems to take longer than a 360 does. And they are nowhere near the size of the Wii U update.

The first update for the Wii U was a biggie, with a lot of features added. Subsequent updates will take a lot less time to complete.

It's a bummer if you just want to get straight into playing your new system, but if you want those features, it's a ...

@Jinkies, I'm not up on all things DMC, but the only reason I've heard for people bashing that game is that Dante doesn't look the same as he did in the other games. That's it, because that's all that's really been shown and no-one knows how it plays.

How exactly is that a "solid" reason?
As for the Wii U not being future proof....so what? No seriously, so what? The 360 and PS3 were both outdated upon release. The Wii even more so...

Fable 3 definitely felt rushed towards the end, so you could well be right. I'd rather have waited another 6 months for it and got a better experience though....so it's a little short sighted of the publishers/devs.

I like the guy, I really do - enjoyed the hell out of the Fable games, even the deeply disappointing 3rd game had enough charm to see off the problems.
But he really is his own worse enemy at times. He has big plans, big dreams, but he never seems to realise that the tech just isn't around for him to actually create much of what he promises. His over-exaggerations cost him dearly....like with Fable 3 and claiming that becoming King or Queen was just the first half of the game ...

I don't think they will...look at how wide the audience was for the Wii and it still played host to the likes of Madworld, various Resident Evil Titles, No More Heroes etc.
Nintendo have had a lot of gory games on their systems over the years - Turok 2, various Mortal Kombat games, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness etc.

It only has a slightly slower CPU as compared to the 360, that's all. The chip is more modern and efficient, and when used in conjunction with the GPGPU (which is a programmable GPU and can be used to take some of the load off).
Developers working on launch games are struggling slightly because - and they admitted this themselves in regards to the devs of the Warriors Orochi - that they don't yet fully grasp the ins and outs of the Wii U's architecture.

It launched with 23 games, you don't think that some of the lesser titles may under perform? And as others have said, Black Friday approaches, and offers like this will persuade people to buy from their store over others.

Again, a nonsense headline designed to attract hits to an article that posts tons of baseless speculation and then immediately counters it in order to play it safe. They might as well say nothing.

Apparently, the awful price gouging on...

Really? People are talking about IF it can recover after less than a week? Fucking hell, they at least gave the Vita 6 months.

It's had the same little niggles that EVERY console suffers at launch. Why is it with Nintendo machines there's always an attitude of doom and gloom? The DS was supposed to be a flop and look what happened, the Wii was supposed to be a flop and look what happened - sold 20 million consoles more than it's nearest rival and a couple of h...

I think this review perfectly highlights the inconsistent scores for this title...you either get it, and review it on it's own merits, or you don't and you review it as just another FPS. The Gamespot video review perfectly demonstrates this, in my opinion.
The game has it's flaws...graphical issues like clipping into walls and the like, but the designers had a vision for the game and followed it through...true survival horror. The makers of Resident Evil 6 could have lea...

Ports are never the best thing to judge a system on, certainly not this early in a console's lifespan. The Wii U is NOT a massive leap over what we have now, it was never intended to be. Nintendo march to the beat of their own drum, always have, and they've stated numerous times they have no desire to enter into a graphical arms race with Sony or MS.

If we judged a console purely on launch day ports, then the 360 and it's version of the PS2 western game Gun woul...

It goes both ways though, if a game is given a good score then the review was obviously paid for in the eyes of the trolls who scream the loudest and most often. There's evidence of that on here with mention of positive reviews of this game being greeted with claims of bought reviews.

I'd argue that those taking either extreme view should really be ignored because they do little to add to any discussion. I'd also argue that it's OK to argue against what a re...

"Zombi U could have been an enjoyable action game, instead it is a poor entry in the survival horror genre."

Huh? That's a bit of a contradictory statement there isn't it? It sound very much like this reviewer expected this to be an action game rather than a survival horror title. In fact, I question if he actually knows what survival horror is supposed to be. Ammo conservation is a big part, as is inventory management. He complains about the immersion ...

I think you're in for a surprise about the graphical leap that's to come with the next gen. If the rumours are true, MS and Sony are putting more into different ways of playing rather than sheer graphical power.

Not saying they won't be more powerful, just that I don't think the gap will be as large as between the Wii and PS3/360.

Several other sites have reviewed the game and given it a high mark - 8/10 from Eurogamer and 87% from IGN. NOw IGN are IGN, they're a bit iffy and the Official Magazine is always a little fishy as I haven't trusted an official mag since the Phantom Menace PS1 review in the UK magazine that came out before the game was finished.
But Eurogamer are a solid site, with well written and in-depth reviews.

What I'm basically saying is, don't be so quick to w...

You realise it's actually easier for people to pirate Xbox 360 games than PC games right? Once the hardware is modded, that's it, games just work. You may occasionally need a firmware update, but it's not very frequent.

With PC piracy there's a LOT of hoops to jump through and you need to be more technically minded than the console pirate needs to be.
