Metroid, Prince of Persia, maybe even Prey would make good movies but Halo & F.E.A.R... I'm not so sure. Halo's story is bland and F.E.A.R. is a great game but would end up being a Uwe Boll mess.
A couple of my picks would be some of the usual nominations like God of War, Metal Gear Solid both rumored. Devil May Cry has some good material. I'd also like a movie based on the Clock Tower games.
The question really should be "Are the days of PC gaming numbered?" Console gaming is extremely successful and growing.
Yeah the plot and talent in the game was pretty good. The only thing that really brought the game down was the controls IMO.
The current path is that games like Dead Rising and Lost Planet will eventually come over to the PS3 too. It's hard to put the development cost into the games and not try to sell as many copies as possible.
ouch. sony needs to get on the ball with some exclusives.
Yeah what exactly is the issue liking both consoles? There is no "best of both worlds" unless you have two.
The XBox 360 is king, I have the link to prove it:
https://shop.bk.com/detail....
Lest we not forget episodes 1, 2, and 3. I hear we're finally going to see the story of the king's father.
I've only played each briefly. Based on the video I'll give the edge to VF5.
I'm impressed. These games are fun.
I worked at Blockbuster for a long-time. I can't even begin to tell you some of the things they have had listed under both XBox 360 and PS3. I have seen Sony in-house developed games listed under X360 and vice versa.
Take this with a grain of salt.
I am interested in playing five of these games, though GTA IV is not exclusive. I could care less about the racing games or Halo. Though not shabby is the PS3 lineup over the same time frame:
April - MLB 07: The Show
May - Lair
June - Ninja Gaiden Sigma
July - Hot Shots Golf 5 (okay... that is a stretch)
August is filled with many multi-platform titles such as Assassin's Creed, Bladestorm, Stranglehold & Madden '08. Exclusive Q3 r...
Hmm, they are trying to gauge consumer interest for the European launch. I doubt they took into consideration that their has been a lot of information available since the launch in North America and Japan. The numbers could definitely be skewed.
Anyone that has worked at Blockbuster, a video store or in retail can likely tell you there is always one thing in demand: kids & family movies. Disney supporting Blu-ray is huge.

On the note of PC support you forgot to mention that Dell and Apple are both supporting Blu-ray.
Actually the PS2 rose above the Dreamcast, Gamecube and XBox. It can be argued how well Microsoft has really done. Last I read they are still losing money on their games division. Microsoft isn't doing a bad job of gaining fans though. But they've yet to break the amount of units the original XBox sold so time will tell.
There is no need for your jab at the Japanese too. You obviously don't know anything about Japanese games or culture. Grow up.
That is a good philosophical view as to why the XBox 360 was named that way. Unfortunately word from inside MS had declared that the move was just brand name strategy. Saying "XBox 2" against "Playstation 3" isn't as appealing.
Yeah I went into Gamestop to pick this up earlier today and they had a whole stack of pre-orders. I wasn't one of those but they had about seven set aside and I've been playing it all day. Great game.
For Microsoft this will turn out to be a poor decision. Microsoft doesn't have vested interests in movie studios like Sony does. Now if they follow through with their word they'll have to release a Blu-ray add-on eventually.
True but the success rate of games is much smaller from what I've seen.
