Bump your calendar up a day and the timer actually increases. The script is written to calculate a specific time so you're seeing a negative countdown.

As of midnight EST the site remains unchanged the countdown does the reverse math like if you change the time. It's likely it could be a few more hours because SCEA is in CA.

I'll give an every day example.. notice that it takes time to decompress a RAR or ZIP file? However, playing back a FLAC file takes up far less space than WAV thou...
Blu-ray adds to the whole HD experience. Both companies are making plenty of claims around HD. One point remains valid there though. DVD can't deliver HD movies. In addition, Blu-ray supports different HD sound formats that likely will not be supported on DVD. This is where multi-platform games will divide given some time. For example, you can play DMC4 on X360 and PS3 just fine. But only on the PS3 can you watch the in-game movies in HD.

Saint's Row is tentatively set for release on PS3 in July 2007. It will contain enhancements but is is unknown whether those will be available for the X360 too.
Yeah it just seems the horror stories where people have gone through multiple units could be related. When I get my X360 I'll make sure to attach it to a decent surge protector.

Yeah this would be nice but like everyone said. I think it would have been great btw if one of the other consoles added emulation for other disc based consoles. For example a PS3 that plays Dreamcast games.
I'm beginning to think the XBox 360's problem may be electrical. It seems that those that have had it die often have had multiple. It's possible the X360 does a bad job of regulating varying voltages or something to that affect.

Interesting comparison... I wasn't sold until the music kicked in on KOYAANISQATSI. Rockstar is probably just paying homage like they have many times before.
It's projected to be marketable in about 20 years. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy 1080p... hopefully broadcasters catch up and start an official broadcast format version though.
As some mentioned Ultra HD isn't a new idea. In fact high definition itself was a concept that started well over 30 years ago. Still cool stuff though.

This article paints the picture that more is coming from the Final Fantasy XIII universe, anything more is pure speculation. This could range from movies to comic books. Exclusives are great but if it goes elsewhere, great it will reach a wide audience. It is possible to enjoy FF on the PS3 and Gears of War on the X360 you know.
