I definitely agree with Sony's decision here. I work in an industry where customer neglect comes up often. People have to have some responsibility.
EDIT: For those that disagree with "People have to have some responsibility" leave a comment. I'm curious as to what your side is.
This article really should say "Top Selling" games. I'm sure everyone here would come up with a different list.
Boo me if you want but Halo 3 is just a run-and-gun FPS; it's not an innovator. I'm not surprised it didn't stay on top as the culture seems to lean toward the more unique games.
I get what they are going for but this is poorly written.
It would be smarter for Sony to have backward compatibility. I personally use it a lot but I know the masses probably won't mind. Hopefully they deliver with a firmware update that gives a good rate of compatibility. But I still have my PS2 :)
Hmmm... something is missing from this article.
Shortly after the PS3 came out another site did an assessment based on HDD RPM and cache, they concluded with a few drives that the 7200 vs. 5400 RPM made no difference but that a 5400 RPM drive with an 8MB cache opposed to the stock 2MB did.
I'm not a fan of multi-player games. What I enjoy in my games and the experience I take from them is different than what others enjoy. I'll stick to single-player gaming.
The game is Dragon Quest IX (9) not Dragon Quest XI (11).
Having this fill to the sides would not be 32:9. It's still a 16:9 TV and would technically just be 16:9, the player's viewing space would be 16:4½ and probably look strange.
That's not wasted space. The picture is formatting to 4:3.
Seriously, am I the only one that isn't impressed by this game or its predecessors?
Good. I still love my PS2 and haven't gone "next-gen" just yet.
...they've been the same company for since 2005.
This is just like when a site sets a date that says 12/31 of that year. It means a release date is undetermined. No big mystery here.
I'm gonna go and head and assume that their 7.1 was generous. The first Stuntman was an awful, boring game. When your headline reads "If perfection through repetition is your thing, then this is your game" you should stop right there.
I can't say I agree with this article at all. The author makes a lot of assumptions and predictions. Personally, I prefer to deal with the facts as they stand. Is it a blow that Paramount went from neutral to HD DVD exclusive? Yes. But the situation remains unclear.
Blu-ray has been outselling HD DVD for whatever reason for a long time now. Their is a swing in its favor and despite losing a studio it has a lot going for it. Here are a few things:

Everyone made the assumption that there were no other games in the house for the Wii. I specifically chose not to mention them. I said "...after the novelty of Wii sports wore off, I couldn't care less that it's around." I am very much implying the other games I played were not interesting, including Zelda. (Note: Born in 1982, I have been a longtime Zelda fan.)
To the 3 previous posters before me... That read like sarcasm.
The Wii may be an early sales juggernaut but you know something... it doesn't live up to the hype. My roommate has one and after the novelty of Wii sports wore off, I couldn't care less that it's around.
I would like to see less "he said, she said" stories on this site.
