Agreed. Honestly, I can't wait for this game.
Or their 2012 movie of the same name...
What a classic. A great port, and one or the best games to grace the NES.
Absolutely. The Persona games are all their own self-contained stories with the exception of Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth.
Nice! Which one are you starting with?
Excellent review.
Yeah, I can see what you're talking about in terms of tone, Nocturne is a hard game to follow up in terms of mood and atmosphere. But I agree, the combat and OST in SMT: IV are excellent.
Six RPGs in a sale featuring seven games is a pretty vast majority. But, you're right, I should have titled it "Six Great RPGs and a beat-'em-up With RPG Elements Get Prices Slashed in Atlus' eShop Sale". Wouldn't want to be misleading, right?
As for the quality of the games. I had a ton of fun with both Etrian Odyssey titles listed, and SMT: IV and Soul Hackers are very enjoyable entries in the SMT series. Though your enjoyment of them obviously is ...
Yes. The same rig that he used to review Alien: Isolation on ultra settings at 155fps. It's certainly the quality of his rig and not the game's godawful PC optimization.
Our reviewer claims the game crashed on him nearly 30 times in one chapter. That's certainly unplayable in my opinion. Console gamers may not have to worry about this, but there's no excuse for the PC release to be so plagued with bugs and crashes.
Absolutely, especially with the combat's brisk and streamlined pacing. Also, the missions where you have to protect civilians while fighting a larger enemy force reminded me specifically of some of the scenarios in Shining Force III. Considering your Synbios avatar, I can almost guarantee you'll be loving the game as much as I did.
That was actually a very tough choice for me. Blood Omen just barely edged it for nostalgia's sake, and the fact nothing on the PSX came close to Blood Omen's CGI for quite some time.
Yeah, I did try to avoid series repetition. Final Fantasy VIII certainly deserves an honorable mention.
While I can't say too much as I'm presently preparing my review of Tears to Tiara, I just want to say I think the production values will actually surprise you. It's in no way cutting edge, but the game's chibified characters belie some incredible charm, spoken dialog, and sweeping score. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
It'll be releasing this holiday season in the west.
Why in the world would Nintendo and Atlus release the Persona Q LE hardware alongside a system that likely won't see a stateside release until next spring, rather than the platform it was designed for? In what strange marketing universe does that make even the barest shred of sense? Frankly, I don't believe Nintendo or Atlus care about your delicate feelings being hurt if YOU make the decision to buy the system knowing full well the New 3DS is on the way. If that's the case, then ...
Well, it's worth noting the PQ system doesn't include the game. That being said, if you do get this version don't cancel that Wild Cards edition pre-order.
But why should Nintendo or Atlus have to worry about those with "poor common sense" because they choose to buy a platform that's getting an eventual revision? Again, this is simply the same 3DS XL that's been on the market, getting a limited aesthetic overhaul exclusively through GameStop. I fail to see how that is a remotely controversial decision. It's like saying Sega releasing the black Sega Sports edition Dreamcast was somehow responsible for scuttling the system. I...
So, are you saying that nobody should buy a 3DS and enjoy its fantastic library now, because Nintendo may be bringing a new platform to the marketplace in 6-12 months?
Furthermore, it's a simple cosmetic difference. Having a piece of hardware with some slightly different art makes zero impact on if people are going to buy the New 3DS or not when it releases. Again, how are more options a detriment?
Agreed wholeheartedly. The next episode can't arrive soon enough.
