You'll love every minute of it. I enjoyed the Genesis release from start to finish. The game is more well out together than many of the better RPGs of the 16-bit era.
Europe really seems to miss out time and time again on these offers.
Persona 1 has aged a bit poorly, but the PSP release really cleaned up the translation and made the game much more enjoyable than the PS1 port. Persona 2 is great, but if you plan on playing it be sure to get both Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment as they exist in a parallel universe and the overarching events that tie them together need to be seen to be appreciated.
Most of all, I want a Mark of the Wolves 2, and seeing you post just reminded me of how it's never, ever going to happen. Dammit.
One can only hope, Darth. The series has seen healthy support over the years and with the recent resurgence in the popularity of the genre I think it's safe to assume they have something in the works.
Now you're speaking my launguage, Izumo!
The tracking laser is choice, for sure! While I definitely prefer the manic shooters a bit more than traditional vertical shmups Raiden and Strikers are two series with a special place in my heart.
Agreed wholeheartedly.
Exactly. They're usually closer to $20 and full of grammatical errors.
Yep, it's the GBA port of the SFC original. The article says as much.
Apart from you being off by close to a decade, I don't really see what the big deal with the price is. It's a fully English localized port of a massive, 60 hour game. I'd gladly toss Atlus the price of a Super Sized McLardass combo meal for their efforts in bringing the game stateside.
Besides, unlike Square Enix, Atlus doesn't skimp on their localizations. Their exceptional PSP localization of Persona: Innocent Sin is a good example.
Oh yeah. I mean, Diablo was Terrible because of it, right?
I'm glad the game is being developed this way. It all but ensures the scares won't come from scripted events and cheesy jump tactics.
Sorry, had a case of the fat fingers. Demon's Souls is $10.99, not $9.99. Still an absolute steal of a deal.
I agree, but it's really hard to argue with the value in buying a game you love and having it be supported for with fresh content so frequently. I mean, at this rate I think we've seen more than a "season's" (vague, I know) worth of content pumped into this game with no end in sight.
One thing's for sure. Gearbox make sure their games last well beyond the meager 8 hours we see out of most shooters these days.
I always wanted to give the abandoned playstation 2 version of Vectorman a shot. I know it was probably garbage, but I miss that ballsy green bastard.
A Sega-produced collaboration between Atlus and Vanillaware? Tyris Flare drawn in Dragon's Crown style? Ok, I think I need to change my pants now.
It's a shame. To this day no SRPG has matched the level of charm and accessibility the Shining Force games have. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed to see another SF epic until the day I die.
Interesting. I've gotten hundreds of hours of playtime out of these "books" over the past 15 years.
Innocent Sin is absolutely incredible. While I love both, I snagged a copy of Innocent Sin for the PSX some years back and was completely floored. If the thought of fighting a resurrected Hitler, supported by a legion of SS piloted mechs in the heart of Xibalba interests you (and it should!), then you need this game.
Also, it's awesome seeing the parallels in the 2 Persona 2 realities. Check it out!
Did you play the original release?
