A heavy bias towards PS4? We've been fair with our Xbox One coverage, heaping praise on standout exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and we absolutely (and much deservingly) crucified The Order: 1886. We want every console manufacturer to succeed, because we the players benefit from their successes.
I'm glad you see the plain as day difference between the two builds, and agree with your critiques of the game (along with it being fun!), but to say we at HPP have a bias co...
No agenda here, as the article itself states we're sure the final game will look fantastic. However, the disparity in those pictures is real, and it's huge. The fact that this is a beta of a modern remake of a decade old game absolutely makes such a drastic visual downgrade worth noticing, even if it'll be ironed out by August.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim - Hyper Morpheus Edition here I come!
Likewise. The brief gameplay clip shown looked much better than I was anticipating. I can't wait to dive into the fray next month.
Can't lie. It gave me the weirdest boner.
Nothing wrong with life imitating Windowlicker.
Well played!
I remember thinking AquaPazza would be the last great 2D fighter for the PS3, and that was nearly two years ago. Really happy to see companies like XSEED, Aksys and Atlus keeping the fighting flame burning strong.
Not gonna lie. I laughed.
While I absolutely agree, at least this shows publisher Nordic Games doesn't plan to let the series collect dust since acquiring it from THQ. Hopefully this remaster is the first step towards seeing a new entry in series.
Trust me, I sympathize as I've been there many times. I just can't knock a game for issues I didn't experience.
Agreed wholeheartedly. To clarify, a perfect 5 out of 5 doesn't mean the game is without flaws - every game has it's share of issues. The thing is when compared to just how much the game gets right, the flaws barely even register in the grand scheme of things. The Witcher 3 raises the bar for the action RPG and open world genres, and it's a downright unforgettable ride.
That said, I don't care if Roach glitches through a wall. I got to turn a dead baby into a ...
I can only speak for the PlayStation 4 version we were provided for our review. The only glitches I experienced in my play through are the minor ones involving Roach spawning stuck in the environment and a rather amusing glitch where I was swimming through the air due to a quest triggering while I was in the water. Apart from that I didn't have any real issues to speak of that weren't mentioned in my review.
Likewise. I know G4's programming got a lot of hate (often justifiably), but I loved Adam and Morgan's work together.
Love the tagline.
Indeed it is! I dig the look as well.
Between this and Corpse Party they're on fire today!
Thanks for that. :) ATLUS' press release didn't peg down the specific date.
Well said! Polygon's obsession with stirring up controversy for clicks rather than crafting constructive reviews is nothing short of appalling. They can't shutter that cesspool of sensationalism soon enough.
@Spicelicka - Are you seriously equating a complete lack of lighting effects in an area, bare textures and a landmass that's been excised from the shot entirely as a stylistic choice?
Just making sure.
