What? Why is storage a issue. You're going to have room for 3 or 4 exclusives. Then you can download games as you want to play them. Or spend another $250.

If you believe it's all greed you don't get it. On games like call of duty it's greed. But on the average title it's survival.

Tony, your response is why people lose money in the stock market. Or get a useless degree. They look at the past instead of what is developing. It's why so many companies are going out of business now. Why Sears went from a world leader to bankruptcy. Living in the past. The inability to recognize the way things are falling. It's why Intel is struggling now. Or Ford and Chrysler and GM. That inability to see the way things are going to be instead of the way they have been. Life doesn&...

If Microsoft releases the next Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein or Fallout it makes a difference. Any of those titles competes with what you named and a new Elder Scrolls trumps anything you named including GoW.

@boozy

Like you guys have been waiting on a full GT game? Didn't they announce one 8 years ago at the launch of the PS4? Greatness awaits. For decades apparently.

@square

The most common phrase the first couple of years on PS5 will be; Wanna play Black Ops? Yeah, give me a few hours while I download it again on this little ass SSD.

They needed an expanded I/O on the SSD because they knew if you didn't have an extra $250 to expand your SSD you would be constantly downloading games in the background. Sony has a huge pair. Wow. It's going to be hard to realize the speed of the SSD if you're constantly do...

The response to price increases shows how little understanding of business the hardcore gamer has. It also is why acquisitions and Game Pass work as a business model. Microsoft and Sony get this. It's a matter of time before Sony has to admit they get the GP model.

But better games matter. The flexibility in the Series consoles will show over the generation and sales will follow. Plus Sony fanboys and people who simply look at past trends (the same people that lose their shirts in the stock market) think because Sony outsold the xbox last generation it automatically wins this one. It doesn't mean anything. Casual gamers will look at Game Pass and the price of the Series S with it's more than good enough ability and choose the cheaper console. Th...

Then you clearly don't understand the tech in the Series consoles. Things like machine learning, variable rate shading and sampler feedback are game changing features that most people don't get yet. If PS5 doesn't have these features it's going to be so far behind in visuals, physics and AI. Sony's idea of speed solving all problems is a mistake. Flexibility is also better. As Bruce Lee said. Be water. Those three features are a force multiplier Sony won't be able to ...

It's cringeworthy seeing so many sheep. The technology in the Series X that the PS5 doesn't have will prove to be a huge advantage. And the studios Microsoft has as well as the ones still coming will give xbox a huge software advantage. All of the fanboy bias of ponies is going to hurt Sony in the end.

@finch

Slower? So far all evidence to the contrary. Games are loading faster on Series X. Seems like the velocity engi...

Who cares about old games on a new system.

Apparently frauds do.

People like Genuine User downplay everything Xbox and if Sony does the exact same thing it gets praise. There are a ton of people like that on this site. Even this constant nonsense about the importance of exclusives when Sony admits most lose money. 2 or maybe 3 make a profit. Which means the others didn't sell enough to make a difference to the developer let alone the console. There's too much fanboy bias in gaming and it's going to result in hurting the industry if it keeps hap...

It's amazing that in a Xbox BC article you get 100 people complaining about playing old games but in a playstation BC article they can't wait to play old games. Makes people come off as frauds.

I understand from your view. But for people with less money or that bounce around from game to game it's a bargain. And people whining about an eventual price hike should be worried about the guaranteed $10 extra Sony will be getting.

Apocalypse bring up Take2 is a joke. The vast majority of games will never hit close to those numbers. I know it works well for your argument but it's unrealistic. The fact that a game can't guarantee those types ...

@ZeroBlue

Not at all. If you have enough studios it gives you more than enough time to let games be properly fleshed out. They're not going to release 2 or 3 games a month. They'll release one 1st party a month with maybe 4 a year being AAA. With 23 studios that gives you at least two years between games. But since most are Arcade or AA games you can give AAA 3 years each or more because you between those 23 studios you could have more than one AAA team. Like Bethes...
