What is the point of all those gigs. PS3 fans keep going on and on about Blu-Ray and no one has shown a real reason for it. Rick you named a lot of games that aren't out yet, but we already know that MGS is less than 10 hours long. All of those games will have Killzone and Resistance will be the same. FF will be longer, but will come on several disc. But it won't be 100 hours. It would take 5 years to make and cost over a 100 million, they wouldn't take that chance.

I agree with WitchKing , I think they are trying to keep customer complaints to a minimum. Delays are definitely one of the biggest problems going right now. There have been articles over the last year or so that mentioned a few games possibly being worked on that hadn't been announced. One is a new MechAssault, one is a new Crimson Skies and the last is a true next-gen Forza. Forza 2 was really just 1 with better graphics. By this Christmas season they will have had a year and a half to work...

If you think about how much companies like EA abs Sony have spent lately buying developers, it could easily come back to bite them. Microsoft made the same mistake early on. Look at what EA spent on Bioware and Pandemic, close to a billion. Over the next four or five years they might get six or seven games out of that deal. They incur all cost of those companies. Out of those 7 games say they sell 10 million copies in total. After fifty million in development cost and then add marketing, you ...

Too many people have become fanboys of whatever and are no longer capable of honesty. They have to stick to their side no matter what. When it come to anything that has money at stake, look out for a bs storm. Look at politics, most of the people are just fanboys. People will believe in anything if the information comes from their group. It's really sad and needs to change. But, I'm not holding my breath. Especially because I want to live.

I own a 360 and had a Xbox before that. When the specs were being reported on early in the development of the new consoles, I seem to remember one of the developers saying the graphics processor in the Wii was more powerful than the one in the original Xbox. Read the article in the link, as it has some developer input. First generation 360 gamews were not that much better than Xbox games. That being the case, I believe the Wii should be able to eventually out perform the Xbox. Especially cons...

Educate me as to why that assumption is wrong. The PS3 is supposed to be more powerful and the 2x drive should make it have faster transfer rates, yet all of the new games have huge installs just to keep with the load times and frame rates on the 360. So I would really like to know about the installs.

Make no mistake, MS knows it can't compete with the Wii in console sales. What I believe they mean is that the Wii is competing for a market outside of regular gaming. The one that MS and Sony would love to participate in, but can't. They can do as many Scene It's and Singstars as they want, it won't happen. The Wii has everything from nursing homes to little kids. MS and Sony only wish their demographic was that diverse. I've seen gray haired women in suits playing a DS on their way to work,...

They may have only sold 4 million more, they did rush it, and they did have a billion dollar charge. But that is in the past. Going forward they are actually making money on their console, even more with the die shrink that just started, which will allow for a price cut. They may not have the in-house studios, but people really haven't thought that whole thing through. Look at EA, they spent almost a billion dollars on Bioware and Pandemic. For that they may get 5 or 6 games over the next 5 y...

Those are guys who have a deep understanding of how computers work and what it takes to do things with computers. If you've ever listened to a interview of Carmack talking about computer architecture, you would understand that he is coming from a standpoint of having worked on many kinds of computers, on the development of new computer architecture and new ways of using a computers power. He doesn't come off as a guy who thinks something is too hard for him, but rather from the position of it...

If you look at their numbers, they add things that are giveaways as being sold. Wii Sports always sells the exact number in America as the number of Wii's sold. It comes free with the console. The numbers for games like Forza 2 and Motorstorm are the same. They are inflated. If you look at previous articles you will see that the numbers on the consoles might be close. Would never trust their software info though.

Microsoft said that they had sold about 18 million at the end of Fe...

It must be one with a hell of a engine. And a great design. It rides smoothly over those bumpy frame rates the Toyota struggles with. It has better acceleration to load screens. It has a special coating on the windows that allow you to actually see more colors then green and brown. It may take some maintenance, but it comes with a three year power-train warranty. If your Toyota gives you problems, you're ass out. It has all those games...I mean extra features that your Toyota doesn't. Nobody ...

But when the guy you're trying to beat is selling 200,000 disc on his low selling titles and that's what you do in total, you still lose pretty badly. Besides, your biggest problem is that you are bleeding money just trying to get where he is.

But whether it moves systems is second to just having titles that would appeal to other regions. The 360 doesn't sell in Japan because it doesn't have many games that will attract Japanese gamers. Getting that license would have shown Europeans that they are at least trying to get their attention.

The F1 license was an opportunity to help the 360 and future MS consoles in Europe. A huge mistake for them not to get that license.

I do believe we will see another Xbox and Wii in the next 2-3 years. But, we won't see another PS for about 5-6 years from now. Sony can't afford a new console and will throw all of their support around the PS3 as it becomes a money maker through lower console cost.

It's silly for people to think that the 360 is tapped out. They said the same thing about the PS2. There will always be new improved programming and it will allow for different ways of using the equipment. And for all...

Up 351% not that great when you were only selling a couple of hundred thousand disc. If I sell oranges. And I sell 2 oranges one week and then sell 9 the next, I can claim a 351% increase. But it doesn't mean I have a successful business.
