Charla then why are the ratings for Doom and the two Wolfenstein games rated so highly. They are resent. And as far as no release information on ES6, Fallout 76 was announced just before launch. Not years ahead of time. The logic that absence of evidence is evidence of absence is not a well thought out idea. ES6 will release in the next two years and it will be incredibly innovative and huge.

They don't own publishing rights. Microsoft is simply leaving their organization intact. Like they have been doing the last four or five years their approach has been simply asking developers what they need and staying out of the way.

Phil stated they ask if you need money, time, people or resources? If they say no they leave them alone.

Really? Based on what? Wolfenstein the new order and collossus did well. Doom did well. Fallout sold but had bad ratings. How is this doing bad?

Does this mean after LoU 2 Sony is doing bad?

Maybe you don't know who Satya is.

You're looking at it the wrong way. If you're a developer taking the risk of making a big title it is better to join Microsoft if they are going to leave you semi-independent. Game pass allows a developer to get funding each month instead of looking for bank loans. You don't have to worry as much about failing since the game is already paid for. Game pass is like having one huge game that sells 15 million copies every month. It always does great. You can't lose. If new IP adds...

Who are the delusional fools that believe Sony is in the same financial league as Microsoft?

In the past maybe. But it's silly to focus on that. The last acquisition that has had a release was Minecraft and that 2.5 billion deal has had over 4 billion in revenue as a return. I'm not sure what world it is where that's considered a failure in a couple of years.

Thanks for an adult view of this.

You are some delusional people. Name the Sony first party game that sold 30 million copies. Sony wishes they had Bethesda. Zenimax. This is the level of ignorance that has Sony financing Microsoft now. You can cause it to increase or you can cause Microsoft to buy more and cut you off. Grow up.

While everyone focuses on the SSD they should be focused on how expansion is implemented. If you understand the tech features of DX12 you know that is the real "secret sauce". If Microsoft is continuing to follow their previous philosophy, the design of the external storage is a real "game " changer. If Microsoft is doing what their ecosystem was built to do it is going to be epic with huge potential for the future. For multi player. For 8k/ 60-120 gaming. And there have b...

Living in the past only causes you to make the same mistakes again. It's what makes companies lose. I bet Intel wishes they had stopped gouging and innovated instead of focusing on Bulldozer.

GT hasn't released a game in years. Guess it means it sucks now. Louis, do I need to go there? The argument that they haven't released a game in a while doesn't mean quality is bad. What they have released has sold well and what they plan to release is heavily anticipated. Final Fantasy 7 definitely sucks, right?

That's what gamers don't understand. And that's why Game Pass is the future of AAA development.

If Microsoft has enough studios to release a highlighted AAA game each month it will keep people subscribed. If enough do it allows your games to receive financing as development goes on. Currently 15 million subscribers gets Microsoft 225,000,000 a month in revenue. If you're supporting 12 main games with 50 million dollar budgets you have covered your cost for...

Razer you're ignoring reality.

Hiring Seagate to make a drive allows Microsoft to sell it for whatever they want to. There are huge markups on equipment. Often 100%. It cost AMD sometimes a fourth the cost for their chips to produce. If proprietary is usually more expensive, then are you assuming the bill on materials of the new consoles is over $1000. Because given the retail cost of the individual parts the Series X should cost at least a thousand.

IR, why just criticize the price of the Microsoft drive as being cost prohibitive when you know PlayStation drives will cost even more. It's disingenuous.

Razer, there are additional enhancements to the PlayStation drive that make certain things possible. If that's not true then Sony wasted a huge amount of money developing something that was easily achieved by others even before ps5 launch. So with the the additional input ability of Sony's engine will the dri...
